Maverick Talk

I watched my first full game of the year tonight. One word: Incredible. The Spurs took the lead at 32.2 seconds left with a three point shot. I was convinced that the game was over. Admit it: you were, too. Relive the moment you thought the Mavs were done here on YouTube.

"If they lose at San Antonio tonight, I bet they lose the series." That's what Barry said before game 5. Would you like some BBQ sauce on those words before you eat them, Barry? GO MAVS!!!

I think our Mavs can win the whole damn thing now. I don't think Detroit is as good as everyone thinks they are. They really struggled with Cleveland when they should have taken that series in four games. Miami may be able to take Detroit too...so we shall see.

We gotta knock Phoenix down first...which we should be able to do.

GO MAVS!!!!

Well Barry, if you watched more basketball, you would know 32.2 seconds is more than enough time to score. I'm definitely glad you were wrong this time.

Barry, don't even try coming to the winning side now. It was a very short time ago that you were posting that the MAVS were going to lose. It was a tough & tight series. Probably the best I have ever seen!

Don't knock Barry, he's just a casual fan...
BTW, here was one of the questions the media asked Tim Duncan after the game:
"Tim, I know you DON'T WANT TO TALK ABOUT THE OFFICIATING, but are you surprised you didn't get the foul call on that last rebound in regulation?"...as if the officiating were one-sided against the Spurs!

Man, it was sad and pathetic how BAD BAD BAD the officiating was. They were bound and determined to let Duncan have EVERYTHING HE WANTED. Anytime he touched the ball there were fouls called. However, how many times did Dirk take the ball outside, and CONTINUOUSLY GET HACKED AND SLAPPED by Parker and Bowen? That was sooo incredible how lopsided the officiating was! If the Mavs had lost, I think I would have had to go to san Antonio and spray paint their arena or something. lol

GOGOGOGOGO MAVS!!!!!!!

It was an awesome game and I still can't believe they gave up a twenty point lead at half-time. I too, am glad Barry was wrong.
Anon 8:47 Can't agree with you more. If there's a defender within a zip code of Duncan when he shoots they call a foul.

8:47 am... I didn't watch the game much, but walked into the living room and saw that rebound. My question to my husband was "They didn't call a foul?" I'm for the Mavs, but there should have been a foul called. Glad there wasn't. They should have called alot of other fouls too, and I'm glad they called one on SA when Dirk shot and brought it to 1 point, allowing him to tie it up. (OK, I did watch some of the game).

4:15- These are grown men! They can take a little hacking. Besides, they can't decide the game on a petty foul call. If they would have called a foul, shit would have hit the fan! They need to let these guys play and quit calling every little foul.
