It's Teen Hispanic March Day Two In Dallas

Story. Any school with the guts to crack down on these absentees?

They should all be sent back over the border for pulling that crap.

Watching the high school students protest in Los Angeles, waving flags from Mexico, protesting in Spanish, skipping school is not really a good way to get their message across.

Are the protests going to last while the Senate debates the immigration reform? If so, they will be 20 years old before they graduate unless they drop out of high school.

Protesting should be on their date time, shopping time, hanging out time; not their school time.

I would have more respect for those students if they actually knew what they were protesting (for or against). Let's see them turn out on a Saturday afternoon and protest.... nope, didn't think so. Not much merit - is there?

The wall they are talking about building is starting to sound like a pretty good idea.

See this is where I get confused. I was born and raised in Germany, and came to Texas for college. Hook 'em horns!
But anyway, I stayed here-learned the language just like many other immigrants before and after me. I pay my taxes, I took jobs no one else wanted, just to pay bills. But I never marched in public carrying a German flag, or flashed gang signs on live television in front of the city hall in Dallas because I disagreed with immigration laws. For being the most advanced society in the free world, the U.S. has some issues with its immigration system as we all know. I have nothing against Mexicans, latinos, chicanos, canadians or anyone else coming to this country trying to make a living. But, if you are going to make this your new home-the least you can do is learn the language. Become a legalized citizen, get a job, pay your taxes and help reform America. Don't skip school and march in the middle of streets, it shows your ignorance for the very issue you are trying to protest against.

2:38 - From one American to a German/American, we are happy to have you here. Wish more were like you!

What would happen if there were Border Patrol Busses to arrive at any of these protests? Maybe a solution to the problem?

Sounds like a convenient reason to skip school to me.

When I was in college I remember joining a protest just because there was nothing else to do that afternoon - honestly - I remember the fun of it - not the point of it.

I am all for peaceful protest - however from what I heard on the news last night these kids didn't really know what they were protesting.

Just a thought. If the definition of a racist is someone who is always mentioning or bringing up race in conversations about people (which I believe is a pretty fair definition), who are the racists nowadays? We all ought to say we are United States citizens, regardless of where our ancestors (or ourselves) came from. That way, we can all realize that we are all just different shades of brown (from very light tan to dark), and just get on with business!!

I certainly agree with the German immigrant. As a consistent liberal, I don't understand why it is so difficult to deal with illegal immigrants. I said illegal. We have millions of legal Hispanic, Asian, European and even some African immigrants. The student protesters don't seem to be able to express their position very well. Of course, it is a logical challenge to defend illegal anything.

Gives a whole new meaning to the term, "wetback." eh? lol

Be careful what you ask for, you may get it. If even a small portion of the illegal mexican immigrants that are in Texas right now became legal citizens, the hispanic movement would probably have enough voters to do anything they wanted. It looks to me that Mexico is attempting to take back what it lost at San Jacinto. Remember, Mexico President Fox supports illegal immigration into the United States, and even provides some of the supplies that are used to do so. If we entered Mexico illegally as they do, we would be jailed in some hell hole, never to be seen again.

If we cant stop them, we should leave'em alone. Legalize 10 million mexicans who can vote and watch what happens.
