Yeah, I'm sure of it. Let me pull it off the shelf........Sure right here in section 2.52 of the OKBRB (Official Kickball Rule Book), right after the the huge time waste that is dodgeball you will feel as if you were kicked in the balls. I knew it!!!!!! I guess this kid was just a little bit early in enforcing this rule.
Bet that the youth minister was not actually part of the game. Bet that the kid decided it would be funny to nail the guy in the face when he did not expect it. IF the youth minister was actively playing the game or KNEW the kid was going to nail him, he would NOT have gotten that upset. So, it was a sucker shot and when you get slammed in the face hard (16 year old kid will throw it hard) it hurts like heck. Kid deserved a good whooping. I bet if I walked into a store where the judge in this case was shopping, and hit him or her in the face with a ball I would get whooped too. The guy will get off.
If you can't stand the heat...
No excuse for an adult (and a youth director at that) to knock a kid to the ground and kick him in the groin - THAT is assult. If you are in or even around a dodge ball game the name says it all - DODGE that ball. Even if it was a sucker shot it was still assult on the adults part. Kick him out of the club, call his parents etc. Kicking someone while they are down - especially in the nuts - is a no-no in the rules of life - 101.

I'm telling you.... Dodgeball is one of the most violent, degrading, vicious game there is. Shame on him for playing and shame on him for having a temper like that. He should not be working with kids!!!

If I fire a dodgeball into your face when you weren't looking, bet you come after me, too. It hurts like hell, can break a nose.

Anon 10:31 You are jumping to the defense of this adult and you don't even know. How can you assume it was a cheap shot? Maybe he was in the game and can't dodge very well. You shouldn't jump to conclusions without knowing all the facts.
