Tear Jerker?

This kid gets reunited with his monkey toy and it gets filmed. The loyal reader who sent me this said it was a real tear jerker.  But I'm conflicted.  I'm an ol' softy at heart, and I've got more stuffed monkeys in Liberally Lean Manor than I can shake a stick at, but I don't know about this. I mean, how old is that kid?

Right on Barry. Just cause someone says Tear Jerker, and some poorly adjusted kid cries, doesn't make it a tear jerker. I think the mom had more issues dealing with losing the kid's toy several years ago, and the kid's sadness, that she tried to make it a sad/great reunion. She starts crying while telling him about it.

Not even a thank you. Now run along and grow up to be a good little liberal weenie!

This child will probably grow up to marry the man of his dreams, live in California, and design dresses...

It would have been classic if the little pug dog would have ripped Ah-ah's head off and took off running with it like a banji Indian.

Ah-meh...

Grow a sack kid, it's just a blue monkey....

Maybe you shouldn't have lost him in the first place

You guys are funny, but truth is this little boy has learned that there is always hope...some little kids never get the chance to know that. And, Barry I would say the little boy is probably 6 or 7. Nothing wrong with a little boy learning to be sensitive..he will probably make a great husband & father someday.

Sorry, but it's great to see the unconditional love of a a child. It's irrational, misguided, but true, unadulterated love. We should all be so lucky.

Keep your inner child alive and don't let the cynical pessimism of this world destroy it.

He's just a child. And he found a long-lost treasured toy when he was even a smaller child. It's been gone nearly half his life. He remembered his love of the toy more than he remembered what the toy looked like.

C'mon - don't be a Grinch. Grow a heart!

I still think it's a tear-jerker!
All of you who don't think so, ok, that's your opinion. I just found it heart-warming in the realization his favorite toy was back, and not lost forever. Way to go MOM!! I would've done the same thing!!
