Is This Former Cowboy Nate Newton?

I knew he had that thumb stomach surgery and was almost unrecognizable at Cowboys training camp last fall, but sheesh.

I saw him on a news spot about his weight loss last month. He went to visit Deon Sanders. I seriously didn't recognize him, he has lost several hundred pounds. He was walking like an old man with bad arthritis. It looked so painful but he kept saying how good he felt.

Favorite sports interview ever:

Dale Hansen: I hear you used to play defensive tackle. Why the switch to offense?

Nate Newton: Well, the coach talked to ma about it and after considering it for a while I decided to make the transaction.

Dale Hansen: You mean transition?

Nate Newton: Nawwww, I'm talkin' dollas baby!

/I hate Dale Hansen

"Hey, man, don't be baggin' on ol' Nate!" Losing half that body weight will help make it easier to get his replacement knees.

Wow......from overweight football lineman who almost got cut because he was overweight....

amazing transformation....even with a little medical help.... impressive.

funny... most retired athletes get bigger and fatter after they retire.

Nate has not lost several hundred pounds...not yet even a couple hundred. He was almost @ 4 bills and is now just a Dickie's Family Meal over 200. Great weight loss, but not several hundred pounds. He had a gastric sleeve procedure performed and the results are great.

The results of the sleeve are great if you are one of the lucky ones who don't die from it. Bariatric surgery is always a dangerous proposition. diet and exercise are much healthier and much safer (and cheaper)

He has lost 196.4 pounds,

Dale: Nate, what do you think about Jerry Jones wearing those Nike shoes on the field to promote the new sponor?

Nate: Hey man, Jerry can do what he wants, it's his house, ya know.

Dale: What are you gonna' do if he tells you that you have to wear Nike for games?

Nate: Hey, The man pays me 1.4 million dollas' a year, I'll come in here wearing Bozo the clown looking shoes if he tells me to!

This may well be an idication of what the Alvoid athletic program will look like 2 years after they hire Neighbors!

Nate: The man pays me 1.4 million dollas a year, I'll haul 40 pounds of pot back from Louisiana if he tells me to!

With all the Alvord athletic comments lately, here is what you folks should do: send your supt. on a "recruiting" campaign. Go to some high end winning 4-A or 5-A program, find yourself a young Off./Def. Cood. who is looking for a start aqs AD who HAS NO TIES TO YOUR SCHOOL DISTICT!!! Pay the guy $65K -$70K to start out, and let him build a TOTAL ALL-AROUND, WINNING PROGRAM, and then thumb your noses at the rest of the world!

By the way, how did the last three AD persons work out? Get my drift?

They need to stay away from Neighbors, but the other local that applied would be a great asset to any all-around program.

Is Neighbors out at Paradise????

Enis would be good for the girls program....he cant run a football team or handle young men for that matter. Just wait and see what happens when he gets the job.

When Enis ran the boy's program, he took them farther in football than any other coach. He built the girl's program to what it is today and the new coaches are determined to keep the program growing. Given an oppurtunity, he could do the same thing for the boys program. He would have to start from the ground up, because it has been neglected for so long, but the talent is there.

According to the texts and phone calls from his family who are trying to get him hired at Alvord, yes, he has been told his contract would not be renewed.

Anonymous said...

why dont you ask the girls that use to play for Enis how good he would be.......he is lucky he still has a certificate

I am one of the girls that used to play for Enis - and he's the best coach I ever had. So don't go there. His records speak for themselves. The only girls that didn't like him were the slackers that didn't get to play that much.

Sure, but if you are so far gone and hopeless... like a Nate Newton and the majority of others who have this surgery, diet and exercise are too difficult for the common man to be perform consistently enough to produce a significant benefit....so the surgery is highly more beneficial than the realistic alternative of reality.

Maybe you were a ugly girl that he wasnt intrested in

And maybe you're the one that didn't get to play so you made up crap and told your momma to spread it around to try to get him fired. Well, honey, we all see right through your pathetic lies - you still turning tricks to pay for the drug habbit?
