And gives a shout out in his decision to a particular political group?
It is difficult to imagine that a nation which began, at least in part, as the result of opposition to a British mandate giving the East India Company a monopoly and imposing a nominal tax on all tea sold in America would have set out to create a government with the power to force people to buy tea in the first place.Youbetcha.

But the state can demand I buy car insurance? And cities demand I license my dog?
And spay your dog.
How about an update on the maybe-its-a-murder trial in Denton?
You don't have to drive. So, you don't have to buy car insurance. You don't have to have a dog and therefore not have to pay a license fee.
The Obamacare issue is that you MUST purchase Obamacare.
IF you are going to drive a car, you must have a license and insurance.
IF you are going to own a dog, you must obtain a license.
How about IF you are going to continue to BREATH, you must buy health insurance?
3:03 you forgot about house insurance, property tax, etc.
wait, you do not have to have those either, they are choices
so I guess you point is rather, well, pointless
Liberal weenies sure hate facts don't they?
You are not forced to buy a car or drive, and you are not forced to own a dog.
...unless you can't afford it, then everybody else chips in and you get a free ride
What part of the history of this country are you disputing, BG? Just because you don't like his politics, doesn't mean he isn't right. Welcome to our world.
Huh. I think I don't want to buy Social Security benefits, or roads and bridges. And I don't use the mail anymore either, so I think I'll stop paying that portion of my taxes as well.
This judge is a kook.

False.
You can have your own coverage, like I do. Or have coverage through an employer, like millions of others do.
Y'all make this shit up as you go, don't you?
Rage
Let's all say it together now,,,
UNCONSTITUTIONAL.
Rage - great comments!
-Team Rage
UNCONSTITUTIONAL?? What does that mean?
Well, let's break it down into smaller bits: UN-CONS-TIT-TU-TION-AL.
UN - the opposite of
CONS - opposed to
Therefore, UN CONS means the 'opposite' of 'opposed to.'
We all know that 'the opposite of' 'opposed to' means 'in favor of,' which in Latin would be PROS.
So, UNCONSTITUTIONAL is the same as PROSTITUTIONAL.
Moving on, TIT - well, I'll let Michael Keaton take it from here:

Hey Rage, guess what, because of Obamacare that personal insurance that you have no longer covers quite a bit. Well at least any that I've looked into since my husbands premiums thru work just sky-rocketed don't. So now I'm stuck paying out of pocket to have a baby that I thought my insurance would help with. And of course since I'm white and actually have a job and pay my taxes I can't get assistance either. So take your nigger loving, self important butt on to somewhere you might be appreciated!
Hey Rage, If this is so good for us and it's mandated that we all must have it, why is Obammy giving waivers to his union buddies? Huh?
I don't get it. The republicans always say that people should take care of themselves, yet they don't think people should be made to take care of their medical bills by being forced to buy health insurance. They would rather we just pay for their health care by paying the taxes that are allocated to the county hospitals. Make up your minds.

Uhhhh, sounds like a private company jacked your rates up. That has what to do with Obamacare again?

Wow, and someone said I played the race card the other day and that if I was losing an argument I must use the race card as a crutch because I've got nothing else. But she's not demonstrative of all Tea Partiers right? RIGHT? Riiiiiight.
Look sweetie, I'm sorry if you and your husband have no discernible or marketable skills (so much for your free market worthiness!), but that actually means that Obamacare will help you, not hurt you. It's amazing that the right-wing nut jobs that need it the most also fight against it the hardest. Sorry you can't get assistance. Write your (probably Republican) congressman or change the way you vote, if you really want the government to bail you out. Interesting that when they don't give you free money you complain, though.
I feel sorry for that unborn kid of yours. But I guess the world needs ditch-diggers and Klan members, too.
Hey Rage, If this is so good for us and it's mandated that we all must have it, why is Obammy giving waivers to his union buddies? Huh?
Probably because they can get a better deal through their existing group policies. Just like I have for myself, and I bet you can too. Huh, imagine that, I guess Obamacare doesn't apply to everyone.
You thought that actually helped your argument? That's cute.
If they can't get a better deal through their existing group policies then why are they getting waivers to bug out of Obammie's great health care? Now answer with a coherent statement instead of rambling like the pea rattling around in your head.
... and WordKyle will now enter this fray with his self assured and self assertained superior intellect (complete with links!) in 3, 2, 1 ...
4:39 I'm with you on the Obammy Nigger Care programs.

Hey there. You have some, you know, brown stuff on your nose. Just thought you ought to know.

ONE question healthcare supporters. . . IF government run healthcare is so great for everyone and everybody, why is it that those that passed it are exempt as well as the more than 200 waivers our omitted-and-chief has issued? That's the only question I want one of you all-knowing liberals to explain to me. The narcissism of the left never ceases to amaze me.
RM
Nah, no need for superior intellect on this one. It's pretty straightforward. The judge ruled the mandatory coverage provision in Obamacare is unconstitutional. While I can't be positive, I'm pretty sure that the mandatory coverage was what 310 was referring to.
The waivers the administration is handing out allow certain companies and special interests, like labor unions, to delay meeting Obamacare’s requirements for purchasing more health insurance for employees or members. From the HHS website: "Waivers...are only available if the plan certifies that a waiver is necessary to prevent either a large increase in premiums or a significant decrease in access to coverage." So large increases in insurance premiums are not inevitable -- if the Obama administration grants your insurer a waiver.
They wont be able to 6:57.
thank god that someone has sense to see this farcr
RM--Obamacare is designed to help those with no coverage, and to prevent carriers from denying coverage in certain instances. Those with existing coverage because of employment in certain groups would not use Obamacare, whether they were waived or not.
Anyway, Republicans are in charge now so it's up to them to fix it, right?
Rage
Wow, Rage.
You seem to have read the bill. That's impressive since no one even knows what the hell is in the bill.
Anyone besides me think Rage has some serious issues with reality and/or authority?
Employers will be required to provide coverage to employees or pay a fine to the government. Those employers who are not lucky enough to get a waiver will pay higher premiums (due to federal requirements and restrictions) to provide their employees with insurance. The premiums will be so expensive that it will be cheaper for employers to drop coverage and to pay the fines. The legislation is designed so that employer-provided insurance will eventually be eliminated. That's just for starters.
If the facts do not support Rage, he just changes them. Or reality.
It is really amazing how the education system has screwed up so many folks. Bridges and roads are funded out of gasoline taxes, unless O comes up with a "shovel ready project". So if you don't drive, you do not pay those taxes.
Mail is funded in general, by postage sales. Except of course for the usuasl government overruns. So if you do not want to use the mail, it costs you little.
Some folks seem to need to learn where revenue comes from, and what it goes to.
If the Supremes rules with O, then what is the government going to take from you next? This would be a serious precedent to be able to require citizens to buy something for simply being alive.
Give 'em hell Rage!
I like your style. You've got Moxy.
Moxy? LOL More like Cocky, oh wait you have to be correct to be cocky.
Sure, we all know that requiring employers to do certain things is unconstitutinal.
They could never, ever, in a million years be required to pay for something or assist in contributing to a plan geared toward assisting employees, right?
Because explain an employer's matching contribution for Social Security, and withholding rules, generally, if that's the case.
Also, please cite studies regarding the "sky is falling" argument that premiums will increase so much that it will be cheaper for employers to pay the fine and not cover employees. And no links to Rush Limbaugh or Barbara Bachmann, please. Real studies done by independent groups. So that excludes studies tied to the insurance industry as well.
I won't be holding my breath on this one, either.
Rage
Twisting the knife a bit more, the judge cited this statement: "If a mandate was the solution, we can try that to solve homelessness by mandating everybody to buy a house" -- Barack Obama's argument against mandated individual coverage during the 2008 presidential campaign.
Where do I go to apply to be exempt from Obama Care? Over 700 companies have been successful so far. Please spread this change, huh?
The 700+ waivers granted by the Obama administration so far are the best indication of prohibitive premium costs. With the HHS waiver-granting policy, the administration acknowledges that the legislation will cause either a premium increase or a decline in service.
Rage, Find your own links from independent groups like Heritage Foundation and shut the hell up and quit relying on Huffington Post or Daily Kos. Then throw a blanket over yourself and weep like a baby. Your rants make no coherent sense.
The 700+ waivers granted by the Obama administration so far are the best indication of prohibitive premium costs.
Why would those companies be required to provide coverage through this program, when they're already providing it through their own? That's why they're being given waivers, because they already provide benefits.
Rage, Find your own links from independent groups
I thought the one making a claim was supposed to back it up. Isn't that why you weenies love wordkyle? Because you think he backs up every statement?
Well, I have yet to see him back up a single statement in this regard, something I predicted he would not do in the last three or four threads on the topic.
Rage
You thought wrong. Do your own research. You wouldn't believe us anyway.
Rage you are awesome!! None of these people have done anything more than listen to FOX news and radio. They want everyone to pay their share but not really cause it shouldn't be mandated. What I love is when they make the case their case and actually support the health bill but lack the understanding to know they did. Heard 2 callers on preexisting conditions call in and say those people shouldn't be eligible because they didn't have insurance beforehand. Duh that's why everyone has to have insurance!! The right wing host even had to ask them if they supported the bill!
These same people would be ranting about activist Judges if they didn't agree with the way he ruled!
From the HHS website (as quoted above): "Waivers...are ONLY available if the plan certifies that a waiver is necessary to prevent either a large increase in premiums or a significant decrease in access to coverage." Nothing about "already provide benefits."
According to the Obama administration's own report, up to 80% of small employers and 64% of large employers will drop employee coverage by 2013 because of Obamacare.
Medicare Chief Actuary Robert Foster testifying to the House Budget Committee January 26, when asked about the veracity of promises Democrats made about Obamacare:
1. It will hold healthcare costs down - "False"
2. People will be able to keep their own insurance - "Not true in all cases."
