That's what the Channel 8 reporter said at noon while do a live shot from Decatur. The footage showed high winds and snow and this mysterious lady running across a parking lot.
Certainly there's a reason.
And faithful reader Mike sends a pic of the Channel 8 van at McDonalds:
And the reporter proclaimed: "Look, there's no one at Taco Casa!"

Maybe that's the lady who wasn't really murdered.
Have you heard if the news has said if it will be cold today?
Do I see melted spots on the ground there?
No, those weren't melted spots, 12:51... those were just spots where the snow had been blown off/been driven off the ice underneath.
I really felt sorry for the reporter when he was out there. Well, for one or two seconds anyway. Then I just laughed at him. And felt like Nelson off of the Simpson's doing so.
PS - I know a 4WD vehicle isn't magic... and it can get stuck. BUT seriously, all the folks in 2WD vehicles today who were trying go about their business amazed me. Sliding all over.
PSS - Nothing is open anyway. No reason to get out. (Although the Wal Marts is packed. Cu-Ray-ZEE.) Its a good day to stay home, enjoy the family unit, and see how long it takes for the kids to drive ya batty.
Does anyone remember that time a Channel 8 reporter's jaw nearly froze shut during a report? I think her name was Valerie Williams. Funny. The studio people were laughing at her.
My children have officially driven me nuts...is it too early for a cocktail?
Yea, remember Valerie in the Texas panhandle for a weather remote. I think she was outside of Claude, TX. It was blowing so hard and so cold that her lips almost stopped working. Sounded drunk. Tracy Rowlett, the anchor, could not stop laughing. Felt sorry for her, but it was really funny. And her nose ran non-stop.

Noone is ever at Taco Casa! It sucks!!
2:11--I guarantee you that as soon as I see my school closed for tomorrow, I'm breaking out the booze! Wish they would hurry up and make the call! (and I have NO kids at home!!!)
Quote: If you get a chance to turn on ESPN2 and catch Mike and Mike In The Morning broadcasting live from Sundance Square this morning, do it. Those boys are freezing. <<<
Poor babies! What the heck are the gonna do when the game is in the Northeast??? They had heaters, electric blankies covering their legs, and still whined about the cold. SO, hubby who is working the show for ESPN had to go back to work at midnight with the rest of the crew, after getting off work at 5PM. After dinner, do the math...about 4 hours sleep. Why? To move the set around so Mike and Mike would not be cold. Bet they had a full nights sleep. Wimps....
News people...what a joke!
9:47 -- no kidding. The news casts are almost at SNL level with this storm.
