The gap between the hinterland and modern America is great. That language is probably only heard from a certain age bracket.....thus the solution is not far off.

Last time I checked, Barack Obama has achieved quite a bit more - about one hundred fold - more than any Wise County blowhard - complaining about the state of our nation.

1) The publisher of the newsrag thought it was funny.
2) The copy person at the newsrag thought it was funny, and the publisher had no knowledge of it.
3) The copy person at the newsrag was pi$$ed at the publisher, and inserted it for retribution.
In any event, it should in no way serve as an indictment for St. Jo or Montague County, Bud Kennedy be damned, than any of hundreds of examples one could find in Denton, Dallas, or Tarrant Counties.
I grew up in Texas. Heard that term as a kid, used it into my adulthood. Determined that it wasn't polite, and stopped using it. But I can't believe that some folks are such pantywaists that they think this constitutes an egregious act.

I was raised to respect the President no matter if you agreed with them or not. It was called being a loyal American. The fighting and ugliness is hurting our nation - and you are as much of the problem if you join in.

1) The term, nigger-rigging is based on the reality that historically, black tradesmen did inferior work. While that is not the truism today that it once was, there's still something to it, at least in carpentry, electical and mechanics. That has been my personal experience.
2) Blacks, just like many whites, continue to use the term in recognition of a hurriedly and poorly done task that lacks in quality but will be good enough for now.
When the niggers quit saying it, I'll quit saying it. In the meantime, the double standard is more destructive to race relations than cultural terminology.

Sure enough, Wise county and Montague county, which is where St. Jo is located, is full of bigots. At least four of them have shown up on this thread. But in reality both counties have been among the last to embrace the change that was envisioned by one of the last Great Republican Presidents that actually believed in fiscal restraint, as well as Civil rights. He also came from Illinois like our current President.
Oh and yeah, 6:43 does need a new news source rather than Rush and Glen. Haters foment hate, and hate will get their "Christian" asses into hell a lot faster than they can say AMEN.
