380 is a killer; always has been. Too many rock trucks and too few lanes.
May God hold this family in his arms.
10:20--That's the only thought that counts.
so extremely sad....breaks my heart...word is just getting out...
So sad!!! He was a wonderful Christian young man! Prayers go out to the family.
When I heard early this morning that they had lanes in both directions closed I thought, "God please don't let it be another death on that road". Saying prayers for the family of the young man.
I am praying for this young man's family.
God please give this family strength and acceptance... So so sad.....
That family has had way too much tragedy. Wise County is praying for them.
So sad. It has nothing to do with too many trucks, etc. It has to do with people's actions that cause crashes.
So sad, but the best engineered, best constructed, smoothest and most spacious center-lined, two-way highway in the world is not going to prevent an injury when someone crosses to the wrong side. And every one of you blaming "380" would scream from the top of your lungs if you had to pay your share of the taxes it would take to have nothing but divided highways and roads.
How about we have a little respect for once Wise County. Trying to lay the blame here or their is ridiculous. This was someones son and brother. Take a break.
Seriously people this isnt the time to debate about what would have stopped the crash or who was at fault, this is a time for prayer. Have some respect...RIP Grant I'll miss you..
Prayers to the family. My husband travels that road everyday! Always scares me when I read stories like these. May you feel the strength of God's arms around you!
We Love You Grant!!! Prayers Go Out To Your Family... Especially Henry... He Was Your Life... You Loved Him Dearly... and He'll Miss His Daddy's Smiling Face... May You Rest In Peace. The Lake Just Won't Be The Same Without You On It... Luv You!!!
Grant will be missed he was a kind soul. The news of his death has saddened me deeply; my thoughts and prayers go out to his family and all those who knew Grant. Death is always tragic but even more so when a life has been cut soo short.
Isaiah 40:18-31Do you not know? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom. He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.
Does anyone know this family well? Does anyone know where to send flowers or cards?
Our thoughts and prayers are with you Billy and family.
I taught Grant. He was full of life. What he could do on a wakeboard was unbelievable. The world is a lesser place without him, he will be missed. Heaven rejoices because of his presence. He and his mom are holding hands. Grant, we will miss you, but will see you soon. Thanks for sharing your life with all of us.
More proof that none of the dreck spewed on the Interweb makes any difference in the REAL world. It is my sincerest hope, those who love Grant Edwards, Jr. are able to find comfort in the loving embrace of their friends and family and God.
Please email the Index with more information about this young man. We would like to do a nice story about him and mention any memorials they may be putting together for his email@example.comThanks
Grant was one of the nicest guys you could ever meet and so full of talent. He will truly be missed. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family, friends and loved ones.
Grant was also member of the Boonsville/Balsora Fire Department, and while he had been inactive for a little while, When the April Fires were burning last year... He was not a bit hesitant to climb aboard Tanker 121 with Paul Wood, and lend his hand to his community once again. He will be missed by many.
Our loss is heaven's gain. May God grant comfort his family.
What a loss he was the sweetest boy ,so talented ,you know he lost his Mom less than 2 yrs. ago ,Pray for Billy and rest of family.Blue Angel
So missed,thoughts with family
Grant was a great guy, a hard worker, and a friend, he will be missed.
Matthew 5:4Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.
Doesn't ANYBODY care about the truck driver?
10:14, 380 is also full of too many impatient drivers for which 70mph just isn't fast enough for some reason, and who get psychotic after just a few moments of being behind someone TRYING to drive safely on that highway.
it is rare when someone has the courage to dance to their own beat, to be themselves and not worry what anyone thinks. Grant we miss you more than words can say. Tell your mom we love her.
Homeward earthly angel, homeward. My prayers go out for those left behind in this moment of sorrow. My Other Brother Darryl
I pray the that the Lord is with this young man's family and also with the truck driver and his family. My husband used to drive trucks and that was always one of his worst fears...something out of his control happening, causing his to take someone's life. It's a tragedy all the way around.
Some TARD said dreck Spewed...hehehe
2:33 it clearly says in the article that the driver of the 18 wheeler was not injured. Have a little compassion, please. Grant was a great friend, and he will be missed so very much. Our prayers are with Billy and Heidi in this difficult time. Look to the lord for guidance and comfort, that is what he is there for.
Some of you might know that Grant also rode motocross. I rode with him off and on for the past several years. He was so full of energy and the desire to go faster and jump higher. I will miss sitting on the bed of the truck chatting with him at the track. My prayers go out to his baby and his family.
Even if the truck driver was not injured he still has to live with what has happened. This was an accident. The Grants lost a dear member of there family and our prayers go out to them. But please remember too that driver that will never forget today.
His baby is only a few months old isnt he? Thats so unfortunate for the child and mother.
The driver of the 18 wheeler is never injured, its just us lowly family vehicles that are crushed by careless illiterate drivers.
I made a mistake the youge mans first name is Grant not his last name. 5:06 you total missed my point but this is not the time or place to explain it to you. I simple wanted to express my sorrow for all involed.
We all make decisions multiple times a day. We are faced with many decisions and sometimes they are good and sometimes bad. And we all have made bad decisions but it doesn't change who we are. We don't stop to think that that one decision could kill us or greatly affect the lives of those we love. It's not our job to place blame or judgement and judgement on someone. Just let this be a lesson to all of us... Who cares where the blame lies, go home and hug your kids, tell your loved ones you love them cause life is short. RIP Grant... My heart goes out to his family and his many many friends.
I barely knew Grant, however I know his sweet little boy and his mother dearly, though Grant had his moments he loved little Henry and wanted to do rite by him. Grant I know you will be missed here on Earth but know that Henry will be taken care of. one of the post mentioned that he was a firefighter for Boonesville vfd it was funny because Last night the county fire chiefs had a meeting and Paul Wood was telling the same story to myself and Decatur Chief Richardson He never mentioned any names but said he was a remarkable young man.
I pray that our LORD will give his family and friends a peace that only HE can give and for the driver of he 18 wheeler I pray he can forgive himself and have a peace from all of this, we do not know what GOD's plans are and when it is our time to go it just happens. Lets celebrate this young man's life not debate what happened or what could have prevented it. GOD called an angel home today! We love and miss you Grant'o!
a sad thing has happened here we should all be asking the lord to comfort this young mans family and friends during this time. as we all read this let it remind us that we should do our best to be nice to one another as from what i have read this fine young man did and live life to the fullest every day
What a GREAT "JOB" Barry. Thanks for the post about Grant.U know that family has always been the drive of the motorcycle toy-run @ every Christmas.Evelyn passed away 1-13-2008 from a 2 year battle with cancer, 45 @ the time.Billy continued on to put Heidi through The University of North Texas & Grant to be the best metal fabrictaion expert in the area. The Edward's Family have been here for alot of folk's in the county for a long time. Today we lost another "fine" one. Grant, tell "Mom" about all the good people ya'll helped over the years when U see her tonight!!!! Thanks to both of you, we miss you here.Jeff Brooks - Decatur
506 Not all driver are stupid. That driver will live with this terrible accident/loss for the rest of this drivers life.
Grant had a wonderful soft side to him. Always hugged my wife when we met, and always polite to me. So sorry for his son. They are all in our prayers!
9:58, Stupid is what Stupid does. Can U say cheese and spell it too?
please, please, please go read the post again. this was a very tragic accident. of course people should feel for the 18-wheeler driver, no he wasn't hurt in the accident, but from what i understand the accident scene was not something that anyone would want to live with, and that driver will remember it for the rest of his life. and in reading the post there isn't anything to indicate that the driver of the 18-wheeler should feel guilty for. no blame should be placed especially at this time when so little details have been given out. i just met grant about a year or so ago, and all though i wasn't as close to him as some, i knew deep down in my heart he was a great person. there was just something about him. grant you and your beautiful mom are in a place where you will be able to better take care of your beautiful boy henry and he has so many family and friends to get him through this life. my prayers and thoughts are with your family and your many many friends. RIP grant.
Grant was an amazing man that lived his life to the fullest. Hes experienced more in his short time than most of us every will. I hope that the driver of the 18 wheeler is able to forgive himself for any grief hes feeling, he is not to be held responsible. I do know that his child is in a wonderful caring mothers hands and the Edward family has 2 angels watching over them to help ease their pain. As for the widow definately a milf with the rating of 10.5 and Henry will be a very well looked after kiddo.RIP Granto
GOD BLESS THE EDWARDS FAMILY AND EACH OF THOSE WHO HIS TRAGIC DEATH HAS EFFECTED, I PRAY THE LORD GENTLY WRAP HIS LOVING ARMS AROUND EACH OF YOU AT THIS DIFFICULT TIME. AND CONTINUE TO LOVE AND PROTECT HIS YOUNG CHILD. HEAVEN RECIEVED A MIGHTY WARRIOR. SAD BUT HE WILL FOREVER WATCH OVER THOSE HE LEFT BEHIND!!!!! R.I.P. GRANT <3
May Fod wrap his loving arms around the family and friends of Grant. May heheal the pain all is feeling. RIP Grant
