I feel for the defendent in this case. Racism is a HUGE problem in Wise County. "To Kill A Mockingbird" - one of the greatest books and movies of all time.
This reminds me of when SMU switched from black horses to white horses back in the SWC football glory days.
Heck, I remember one season ol' 'Mustang' was black most of the season and then a white horse was used for the last two televised games.

I feel for the defendent also, because even though it's totally wrong and color shouldn't enter into any decision, chances are good that it will. Not fair. Of course I'm the one who if sitting on a jury would be sympathetic to the defendent 9 out of 10 times anyway.
I don't get the whole African-American thing. Shouldn't whites be referred to as European-Americans by this criteria.
If you demand African Americans...(people who have never been to Africa) be on juries if the defendent is black...should white defendents only have white jurors or Asians only have Asians...or Hispanics only have hispanics? What is the correct mix? Who decides?

I have NO doubt that any nigger can get a fair trial in Wise County. Just no reason they could not.
Does anyone remember back to the 1960's when the Southwest & Southeast Conference athletic teams wouldn't allow "colored" players - and wouldn't play teams who did. That wasn't that long ago. We've come a long way but there's certainly a great distance to go for a color blind society.

6:35, why do we need a color blind society. There are differences in the races and they should be seperated. If you look around, you will see that the white race has always been the leader in inovation, production and leadership. Even the Japanese only took our invention and produced it cheaply. Show me a society other than the white who are leaders at anything.
