Wade needs to go....he's a great grandpa or next door neighbor, but not a great head coach.
Gotta give it to Wade to bring in a guy like Keith Brooking... he knew he was a player from coaching him previously. We need more players like him... he was a key player and defensive leader this year in their success.
Jerry still needs to fire himself as GM, meddling with the way the coaches coach. We all know as long as Jerry remains in charge of coaching, the Cowboys will be good, but not great. Jerry should still make deals for players...hopefully better than Roy E. Williams, and manage the money making stuff, but he squelches the coaches.
The Cowboys get dominated by a good team at home, and Cowboys nation is calling for the firing of the coach, and the media is making fun of the coach for thinking his players are winners. Then, they win a close game against a team that had injuries all over the field and missing key guys, and they beat two dysfunctional teams, and the same Cowboys nation is thinking Super Bowl. Then, they play the first healthy, talented team since they lost to the Chargers, and it's the same result as then. Why did anyone expect the Cowboys to run to the Super Bowl based on beating three crippled teams?
What do you want? A colorful coach that rants and raves on the sideline like Parcells or a coach that takes you deeper into the playoff than you've been in 15 years like Phillips?
The problem isn't with Wade as coach, it's Jerry as GM.
Whatever...if the Cowboys had gone all the way, I don't think you would have used the word "mediocrity", they were two games away...c'mon! You don't like Wade Phillips because of the way he looks, right?
If you think wade calls the plays you are a retard. If you think Brooking or what ever his name is, is a good player or has any class, you are a retard. The Cowboys suck, the only good thing about them is their cheerleaders, I do enjoy that part of the game.
