Bush and Chaney Cheney Would Have Never Let That Happen

We would have had tanks rolling into Tehran by sundown. You can do lots of things, but don't take our oil. Story.

Who's "Chaney?"

If you're gonna talk smack, at least get the names right.

I'll bet your briefs are a mess.

Anonymous said...

Spelled "Cheney," or "Prince of Darkness," whichever you prefer.

Why do so many people think the U.S. covets oil for sport or fun, or just to have something to be aggressive about. Here's a deal for you...the U.S. will totally stop using force or the threat of it to guard/protect/secure foreign oil supplies. All you have to do as an American is now divide up the oil we can produce on our own, without heaven forbid a fish or worm being killed somewhere, and make due with the gasoline that comes from our new, limited supply. And guess what? When gas is $10 a gallon it won't matter because industry and other sectors will crash and we won't have jobs that require us to fill our tanks with gas we can't afford. It's us, people.

So are Dick Cheney's. Briefs that is. He ruined them when it started looking like the Repubs were going to lose power. And lose they did. Thank goodness.

Off topic:

Just saw your fired Fidelity fantasy football moron whinning on Cavuto's show on Fox.

Is this story really that big a deal?

mzchief said...

You crazy people... ahem, Barry... who believe the only reason the U.S. gives a rat's arse about the mid-east is due to the oil reserves, are CLUELESS.

NEWSFLASH!!!
The U.S. obtains more of its imported oil from our good, peace loving friends, in CANADA than any other nation. Second is MEXICO, third is VENEZUELA and fourth is SAUDI ARABIA and distantly followed by Nigeria, Algeria, Russia and finally a very distant Iraq.

Stop getting your information from the Daily Kos and learn FACTS.

Source

Of course Bush/Cheney would have an appropriate response to Iran stripping the assets from a U.S. ally. Unfortunately, the arrogant, neophyte who currently sits in the big chair in the White House is as spineless as he is clueless and proves it is WORTHLESS, during his administration, to have the U.S. as an ally.

How do you steal an oil well? Hook it up to your pipeline?
I'm gonna get me a few Barnett Shales this weekend.

Keep talking crap liberal. Don't cry when gas is $5 a gallon. I won't either as it means fewer "losers in life...aka liberals" are on the road creating traffic problems. I support the choice not to lower gasoline prices.

Anonymous said...

The people who bitch about protecting our oil are the first to bitch about gas pices when we don't.

Mzchief's last point is a big one. When Republicans take back control in a few years, they'll be faced with a world in which other nations know they can't count on America long term. That's the problem with electing Democrats. Obama has even given the cold shoulder to England and Israel, two of America's staunchest and oldest allies. He has in fact embraced Israel's enemies. Now he'll very likely let Iran have its way with Iraq, not to mention ignoring Iran's developing nuclear capabilities, without lifting a finger. Of course, he'll make wonderful-sounding speeches that say the right things but which have no real impact. That's what got him elected. But Obama doesn't know what to do because he is not qualified for his job.

Obama can justifiably complain -- and he has, again and again -- that he inherited economic problems from Bush. Handled correctly, however, economic problems can be overcome. How does America ever recover from the loss of trust that Obama will leave behind? With less than one year of total control of Washington, Obama and his Democrat Congress have needlessly and thoughtlessly left a path of destruction in their wake.

WK - You have got to be kidding me?
You think our standing in the world was better during the Bush Adm.? You think we were more respected/trusted than we are now????
That's hilarious!

Wordkyle - I think you may be relying on FEAUX News too much.

Unfatcat said...

The problem with electing Republicans is that they always leave a deficit that takes the Democrats 8 years to clean up. What is so hard to understand about that MsCreep and Wordbile.
Obama is doing the best that he can do considering that the other party is doing their best to undo anything that he tries to get us back on the right track.
You two need to study some history and not be so concerned with what you have in your wallets at the time.
By the way, the highest taxes on the upper class were when Nixon was in office and gosh, correct me if I'm wrong but wasn't Nixon a Republican?
You people are nothing more than Sheeple. Believe anything that you are told as long as it doesn't go against what you have been told during your formative years.
What does that mean? It means that you were obviously upper middle class when you were kids. Doesn't mean that you were better than any of the rest of us, just that your parents had more money.
Guess what? That don't count in the overall scheme of things.
You are in a country that has a government that at one time was considered the best in the world. Thanks to the person that you voted for twice, we are not the same world leader that we once were.

Unfat - Besides being wrong, you simply sidestepped anything I addressed. Your privilege, of course, but please don't imply you're responding to my post. BTW, some of the readers of this blog know me personally, and they are laughing themselves silly at your idea that I had an upper middle class upbringing.

750 (x2) - Empty comments. Point out where my facts or reasoning are wrong. Less than 5% of Israelis believe Obama is pro-Israel. We would probably find similar numbers in Poland and other Eastern European countries that Obama threw to Russia. Those countries risked themselves to be America's allies. After Obama, think they'll ever do it again?

mzchief said...

To OhSoFatBat...
You truly are none too bright. There was NOT a surplus, EVER and the Democrats have NEVER cleaned up anything. Have a look at the chart and perhaps even you will understand the FACTS. It was Reagan who got the ball rolling to get the economy back on track after Carter thoroughly thrashed what was left of the economy. Keep in mind, it was Reagan who repaired the image of the U.S. after the damage that was done by Carter who was as spineless and clueless as is Obama.

As far as someone being a sheeple who believes what they are told, that better defines you than it does someone like me who will actually research information.

Next time you attempt to tee it up, have a few relevant FACTS.

Anonymous said...

mzchief, you might want to do a little fact checking yourself. While there might be other reasons to have troops in harms way in the Middle East, oil is certainly right at or near the top. Mexico's Cantarell field is drying up and I read where Mexico will not be able to export oil in a few years as they will only be able to produce enough oil for their own consumption. Counting on Venezuela and Chavez is risky business. The major oilfields around the world are all in decline production wise. The green movement is trying to shut down the Tar Sands projects in Canada. In the U.S. House and Senate, there are bills being pushed through to eliminate or minimize the type of drilling(Frac-ing) that must be used in the shale formations like the Barnett Shale here in Wise County. So yes, I believe we have troops in the Middle East to secure oil. Iran will probably be our next destination whether we like it or not. Too much opposition for drilling in the U.S. for me to think otherwise. We will need oil for economic survival for many years to come.

OK mzcheif, where do you get your facts? You have your head so far up your Arse that you can't see the light of day. Iraq was just fine until Mr. Bush made his blunder and destroyed the country. Iran was not a problem as long as Sadam was in control of Iraq. They spent all of they resources dealing with him and left the rest of the world alone. There was no terrorist in Iraq except Sadam’s and they only bothered their own people. The only exception to this was when he invaded Kuwait . And that was handled. Quit getting all of your facts from Fox News.

Unfatcat said...

You are as idiotic as that guy that ghostwrites books for people to stupid to write for themselves, let's see. Doesn't he call himself by his last name followed by his first name. How dumb is that?
As far as facts go. Try looking up the fact that our last Dem president left us with over 800 billion dollars surplus. Is that not a surplus? If not, just what in the hell DO you consider a surplus?
Oh, and if you believe that you know so much about me, tell me what I do for a living and where I go for my news. I got a clue for you. It's not Daily KOS and it damn sure isn't Faux News.
You two (you and WordBile)crack me up. You call others stupid but unless you are both total idiots you wouldn't be saying some of the things that you say. Knowing that they are pure BS.
Good job 7:50. Folks like them need to be pulled up for making stupid statements over the internet that anyone can see. Hell, before long someone might believe something that they say and tell some other unsuspecting fool. That's how the Republican party works. Word of mouth. Most of the words being BS
Oh, and WordBile. What makes you think I was trying to address anything that you said. When you are so full of yourself that you use the Rev. Bob Dobbs picture as your Avatar. Even though he is a cartoon character he still makes more sense that you.

Regarding world opinion of the U.S.-Republicans seem to care most about what our allies think of us and it seems dems are way too concerned about what our enemies think of us. I think I will side with the republicans on this one.

Unfat, when you mention me by name, then make an argument of some kind, you imply that you're replying to me -- which is what I said.

As for stupid people, two points: 1) Those who hire ghostwriters are usually smarter than those who think they can write, but really can't. 2) I defy you to prove your claim that I ever called someone stupid in this forum. To the contrary, I have repeatedly stated that I'm no smarter or better than anyone else. What I am good at, however, is making most of my points without resorting to personal attacks -- something you might want to work on.

If you want to relieve your frustration at consistently being publicly proven wrong, start small. Go to my point above and show when I have called someone stupid. Should be easy enough, since you made the claim. Baby steps, Unfat, baby steps.

I personally have no problem with the deaths of people in some far away shithole as long as I can continue my current standard of living. I hate that some young men and women have lost their lives, but it is what they signed up for.
Also what I hate is that our president is selling out America right before our vary eyes and no one seems to care. American pride is (was) not a bad thing, unlike what Obama would have you believe. The actions of our current president will lead to the largest, deadliest world war ever... mark my words.

Unfatcat said...

Get your "facts" from somewhere other than Republican hate rags and I will refrain from calling anyone stupid.
I am just sick of self righteous people like yourself and MsCreep putting out BS for all the world to see.
Oh, and MsCreep, I checked the "Chart" that you posted a link to and it was written by a known Conservative pundit who has never said anything good about the Democrats. Why should anyone believe a thing that a conservative pundit says when 90 percent of it is lies meant to pull the wool over the eyes of the sheeple.
Look it up in a unbiased publication and you will see that when Clinton left his presidency we had in excess of an 850 Billion dollar surplus. You or your faux news folks and other Repuke entertainment jockeys can twist it however you want but it is still true that he took a country that was in a recession caused by the spending habits of Reagan and Bush 1 and turned it around by the end of his first term. Only to see it lost by the end of Bush 2's first term.
What's wrong with this picture? I always thought conservative meant to Conserve. Don't look now but they have been failing miserably for the last 30 years at conserving anything but the money in their savings accounts. Which I might add, came at the expense of thousands of our young men and women as well as our fragile economy and our fragile ecosystem.

Gotta agree with Lucifer on this one. The big one is coming and Obama will go down in history as the most inept human ever to lead a nation.

Having said that, I think it will also be a good thing when the dust settles. We need to get a few hundred million humans off this planet and wake up the rest to what's really important in life. (Hint: it's not American Idol)

Dumb has become our special talent.

Unfat - Now see, you just did it to yourself again. You had the chance to back up your claim at 9:19 that I called others stupid, and prove yourself right, and you didn't do it. I apologize if I put you on the spot.

As for the Clinton "surplus," your argument is that Mzchief cited a chart by someone who dislikes Democrats. (The chart shows that national debt went up every year of Clinton's presidency, therefore no "surplus.") Simply cite a more credible source showing that the national debt went down under Clinton, and you will have proved your point. (One that someone besides you can access would be a plus.) Surely that's easy enough for someone as well-informed as yourself.

The whole "surplus" thing was popularized in an attempt to demonize Bush while canonizing Clinton. Democrats and the lapdog media wanted to give the impression that there was a lockbox full of cash somewhere when Clinton left office, cash that Bush squandered. That's what you tried when you said "Democrats left us with over 800 billion surplus." The article Mzchief cited is thorough, clear and well footnoted. You have presented nothing to counter the points made. Step up, Sparky.

To anonymous 9:06...
Perhaps Bush should not have listened to the dire warnings about Iraq that were issued, since 1998, by ALL the top Democrats but you and the other Loony Leftist Liberals would be hissing and spitting had Bush not done something and, as declared by the Democrat leadership, Hussein made a first strike using WMDs.

In an attempt to keep from, in the future, proving your ignorance regarding the war in Iraq, you would well served to WATCH the VIDEO and make special note of the dates the Democrats are decrying Iraq and Saddam Hussein is a threat to the World and U.S.

1998 - Medeleine Albright, Sec. of State - Clinton Admin. claimed that Iraq's use of weapons of mass destruction against the U.S. is the greatest security threat and a threat against which the U.S. must stand firm.

1998 - Bill Clinton, while POTUS, claimed the U.S. could not continue with an ambiguous third route will Iraq continued to develop WMDs.

1998 - Howard Dean, DNC Chairman and Former Governor (D-VT) had no problem declaring that Iran and Iraq were "International Outlaws" about which something must be done.

1998 - Sandy Berger, National Security Adviser, Clinton Admin declared that Hussein would rebuild his arsenal of WMDs and that Hussein would use WMDs.

Keep in mind those statements were made PRIOR to 9/11.

No one forced/coerced, then Rep. (D-CA), Nancy Pelosi, in 2002, to declare on "Meet The Press" that "Saddam Hussein certainly has chemical and biological weapons, there's no question about that."

2002 - Jay Rockefeller freely made the statement on the Senate Floor: "There is unmistakable evidence that Saddam Hussein is working aggressively to develop nuclear weapons and will have them within the next 5 years." He further warns that; "We have always underestimated the progress Saddam Hussein has been able to make in the development of weapon of mass destruction."

There is more and I do mean MUCH more. Watch the video before you shoot off your mouth. Stop eating the BS being fed by the likes of MSNBC, CNN and the Daily Kos and there is a chance you will LEARN a few FACTS.

Incidentally, claiming the Democrats were dumb enough to be duped by Bush and his Clueless Crew is not a very good defense and makes the argument that the Democrats are DUMBER than "W".

Only someone as moronic as you would find fault with the messenger rather than actually pay attention to the FACTS delivered by a messenger against whom you have an unwarranted bias. If you had bothered to read the article you would have realized the source for the data used in the chart was from the U.S. Treasury. Since you so dislike my source supporting the FACTS provide a source, with the same credibility as the U.S. Treasury, to support your bogus claims.

tick...

tick...

tick...

tick...

I have provided you FACTS but you have elected to ignore FACTS and only offer your biased opinion which is based on nothing more than your bigotry which clearly indicates you are a waste of my time. You further prove the point, ignorance can be cured with knowledge but there is no cure for stupidity. You and your ilk are the reason the U.S. is stuck with Obama and the Democrats doing their darnedest to destroy the U.S.

I have no problem with wordkyle's and mzchief's intelligence - or their right to their opinions. I just happily disagree with their conclusions. Now we all can't be right on the same issue with different conclusions. But fancy framing of a position should not in itself obscure the correctness of the counter argument. Good thing the voting populous has given us a few years to flesh out promises into programs. We'll see.
