Everyone Is Going Nuts Over This Cover

Including Sarah Palin who calls it "sexist." Sheesh, woman, you posed for the pic for Runners World earlier this year. But if I do say so myself, "Hey, now." (And I'd like to point out that this fine Blog brought you this photo back in June of this year.)

Posing for Runners World is one thing....having a rag like Newsweek cop a photo like this without your permission is another.

Bad news...for everybody else? My response....Joe Klein sucks!!!

In case you don't know he's a lefty columnist for the mag.

its amazing that some republicans still follow this person. how pathetic.

Sarah Palin contradicts herself.

I'm shocked!

Given the current office holder this lady keeps looking better.
Now that is really scary!

You just said "hey, now" to a grandmother. I don't think I can ever bring myself to do such a thing.

Oh hey I just left this flag here, whoops there go my pants~!

she looks so sexy all the time, but when she starts her WHIM. She sounds so female wife-ish. d-i-v-o-r-c-e, go Tina Fey (she is just as hot.)

Anonymous said...

I think Sarah Palin should run for POTUS and ask Carrie Prejean to be her VP.......I am sure a lot of white, conservative, evangelically religious, greedy, extreme right wing, NRA card carrying, closet homosexual male idiots, and women with fake tatas, who like to carry guns and have their nails done by Asian people at Walmart, after getting their hair colored blonde by a gay guy in Southlake would vote for them.

Palin is simply the latest in a string of extremist and polarizing candidates who appeal to a zealous and vocal base, but who will likely never gain enough popular support to actually win. Think Lyndon LaRouche or Ralph Nader or that batsh*t crazy guy from Mansfield who is running for governor. She will just become more and more shrill and polarizing and will make the other GOP candidates run to the far right during the primary, but the ultimate prize will never be hers.

Anonymous said...

Tina's hotter cuz she's a liberal...and hotter. Fade Palin Fade

Anonymous said...

Give her another ten years of running - those knees will be gone....

..she should concentrate on her brains, rather than her body if she wants to be President.

......and hire a good speech therapist......

...or agent.....or nanny...

..and get Phil King for her VP.......

......FINALLY, this country would be MORAL.

wordkyle said...

Palin must be doing something right -- Liberals are losing their minds over her.

Anonymous said...

all she really needs is some yellow pants suits..and learn to say "you know" between every word..and cackle like a f'n idiot when someone asks her a question she don't like.

For those interested, here's an interview with the "shrill, polarizing, extremist" Sarah Palin. (Hmph. She seems reasonable enough to me. Not shrill at all.)

Very Proper. Sexist Pose draped in the American Flag. Now that's GOP all the way !

Well....it could have been worse.......
take a good shot of hootch ...close your eyes....then imagine Hillary on that cover......
oooouuuuffffffff.......that would make a maggot gag.

Palin is hot even if she is a granny..........

It is so funny how she drives progressives insane. And because she does, she must be the GOP candidate in 2012. Her interview with Oprah was great because she is a natural.

For the left wingers who thinks she doesn't have a brain, all I can say is she is smarter than the progressives in Congress.

I love Sarah Palin and it is time we gave a real woman with five kids a chance to get us on the right road before we go off the cliff.

Kyle: we were holding out for the Playboy spread, not this waste of paper resources book of hers. She would've been the perfect headliner for the MILF special edition.

6:09: Yeah we want a POTUS who knows how to shamelessly whore her popularity in a proper manner. Resigning as Governor to leverage timing (and avoid scrutiny) and promote her waste of paper book, she's my hero. Now that the Oprah circus is over, I can almost hear the sound of her fading away:....back to Alaska, oh God help me.... I'm fading......fading...Tina, do something, save me..I'm fading.

7:47 p.m. - I couldn't have said it better myself.

6:09 a.m. - Real woman? Are you kidding me? Give women everywhere a little credit - ppplllleeease.

It's not just the shorts that makes this (as well as other pictures she has "posed" for) that makes this gross - it's the actual pose itself with the flag laid out like a dish rag. Now THAT'S gross and she should have NEVER posed for that picture for ANY magazine. She is a media monger just like the beauty queen/porn star/evangelical wannabe. They are two peas in a plastic pod.

LOVE LOVE LOVE that you pathetic people quirm over Sarah Palin.

She's a better WOMAN than you men ever thought about being.

9:17 - well said about Palin.

She is SO fake - on the Oprah show she probably wet her pants just being invited there.

Wonder where her next "outing" gig will be?

Stand by.

wordkyle said...

Hmmm... Lots of anger over somone promoting their book. It happens all the time. Apparently it's because Palin is promoting a book. You guys are really steamed about her. She must really worry you. I know it genuinely bothers Liberals when they can't silence the opposition.

What's really interesting is that yet another Conservative book hits the top of the bestseller lists. Apparently American readers are interested in what Conservatives have to say.

Anonymous said...

9:28 really, better than me, really? I've never taught my kids, by example, that its OK to have unprotected sex, OK to quit, or OK to pimp out my failures with media attention (so like Mommy, that Bristy is, cashin in being a abstinence spokesperson). And that Runner's cover, just more pimpin. Milkit baby milkit. Fadings, fadings, check out those slipping approval ratings.

Wordy's right...you guys are definitely worried because you KNOW she's popular with lots of people! And I agree totally with 6:09. Palin IS a natural, and her responses are direct and not pre-scripted like dear old Obammy's. She' smart, savvy, attractive, and a regular person.

9:17 You actually going to try to say Obammy is NOT a media monger/whore? NO one could be worse than he is, taking every photo op and parading that big-butted gawky wife of his every chance he gets.

PLEEEEEEASE, people. You're just worried because Palin has it all together and you're seeing Obammy fail on a daily basis!

Finally, I'd like to ask 7:47 just what's wrong with the Vietnamese people who do nails at Walmart? They're great folks and last time I checked, don't have anything to do with Palin...not sure I see your connection!

Adolf Oliver Bush said...

Come on Barry. Yes she posed for the picture for a runners magazine-appropriate.

That is not the picture appropriate for Newsweek unless they are doing a story on her running.

It was a poor choice on their part and probally sexist.

How would you like a picture of you jogging on the cover of some lawyer magazine where your being credited for your brilliant legal work? Such a picture would undermine the story.

Same situation here.

When will politicians learn? Remember the dumb photo of Dukakis in head-gear driving a tank? His opponents used that photo again and again.

I think Palin is a perfect candidate for beauty queen.....as in that quite beautiful Ms California.

Wonder why some people just don't realize "their callilng" and stick with it. The world would be a safer place, and oh the agony they would spare themselves.

Anonymous said...

On December 21 2012 an O will be on everyone's lips but it wont be in reference to Obama.

Palin loves the attention. As far as her book, it can be bought from Newsmax for under 5 bucks. The Newsmax Connys will take a loss in order to try and make her book a best seller.

Anonymous said...

To all you morons who think the left is "squirming" over Palin. What a joke...we are laughing and laughing and laughing...i hope she does "try" to run for POTUS! Makes me feel good all over! Run Sarah Run!!!

This shows show how terribly desperate the right is for a viable candidate!

I am not worried by Palin. I am embarassed by Palin. That she is even in the conversation.

I know what McCain was going for, but oh did he make a mistake. And he is a gentleman who will take this knowledge to the grave with him.

Shame she doesn't have the gratitude for the selection. If she had McCain's character she would just get busy running for the job.........not being a witch trying to settle old scores.

Anonymous said...

12:43 - she doesn't hold a light to John McCain. He is a moderate Republican and very very solid.

She has hubby Todd looking after the kids while she flits all over the country doing talk shows and selling her book. Correction: herself.

Actually, I feel sorry for her husband. He looks like a whipped dog.

Anonymous said...

Might be nice is Obammy had realized his calling and stayed out of the WH. He's the one who is a daily embarrassment, so save your emotion you're spending being embarrassed by Palin. You're going to need it over the next few years because your current prez is going to continue to embarrass us all!

wordkyle said...

1241 - From her northern accent to her good looks, you guys have attacked every possible aspect of Palin. She (and her book) have received unprecedented scrutiny, certainly much more than Obama did before he was elected. Given the amount of attention she is receiving from both the media and the Liberal blogosphere, it's safe to conclude that -- whether Republicans consider her a viable candidate in 2012 or not -- Liberals/Democrats/the media view her as a threat. Otherwise there would be no need to go to such lengths to try to destroy her.

Anonymous said...

12:41pm you beat me to it. I was going to finish reading everything here and then add my comment. I'm a progressive lefty and I'm not squirming at all. I relish the thought of the American Rouge being the GOP standard bearer. Not a better gift to the Dems could be had.

Anonymous said...

To the first commentator:

Joe Klein writes articles for TIME magazine, not Newsweek.

Leave it to a conservative to get the facts wrong.

Anonymous said...

11:04 Has it all together?? When she couldn't answer even the simplest questions - like what newspapers to you read. Everytime she opens her mouth she sounds like a hillbilly. She is an embrassment to women. I just wish she would stay in Alaska - oh wait - she bailed on them didn't she because of ethic compliants and lawsuits against her.

Anonymous said...

Sheesh Wordy, from the way you jump to her defense, do you have a crush on Palin?

It is obvious that she is has the Presidency in her scope, in spite of her "that's not on my radar screen" remarks. Give us a break. Her campaign began as McCain's running mate.

I don't think the Liberals (or even some conservatives) will destroy this women.

If she gets destroyed, she'll do that to herself.

Anonymous said...

Again, we appreciate your fixation on her rather than Barney Frank.

Anonymous said...

I agree with Wordy on all this; there's NO WAY obammy could have stood up to even 1/2 the scrutiny Palin's already been subjected to. I can't wait for him to continue to show his ignorance and prove all you libs wrong!

wordkyle said...

211 - Nope, no crush here. She has energized Conservatives in the Republican party, which is a good thing. She had some bad interviews, which is a bad thing. (Having said that, if Katie Couric and Charlie Gibson had set traps for Obama like they did for Palin, his election would have been endangered. "Bush Doctrine?" Puhleeze.) Is Palin a viable candidate for 2012? Let's wait and see. One thing's for certain -- she is at least as qualified as the guy who won in 2008. And the fact that Liberals are up in arms about her scores a few points in her favor.

Anonymous said...

She's got that clean/naughty girl look like the ones on the VHS tapes my dad would order and hide under the bed and I'd watch when he was out of town.

Those were some good times in Chico drinkin R'ra C Cola and eatin the large size Cheeto's.

Anonymous said...

Wordkyle, I didn't hear Couric or Gibson, but did hear Oprah and she did not set any "traps" for Palin. Certainly she could have. I appreciated that a total Liberal such as Winfrey would even have Palin on her show. We know OW was not doing her part to support a Republican.

Frankly, I wonder if Oprah messed up by being so enamored of Obama. I think for her it was more about promoting race than about leadership.

The two Democratic "O's" may see their ratings go down at about the same time.

wordkyle said...

255 - The Couric and Gibson interviews were prior to the election, and they were clearly designed to probe and create an image of weakness, which they did. In contrast, Obama's team controlled the media. Obama's political philosophy and inexperience, which have become so apparent since he took office, were never covered by the mainstream media before the election, except when referred to as "Republican attacks." The mainstream media exerted enormous influence over the outcome of the election.

Anonymous said...

Yeah, Wordkyle, I've seen the liberal bent too in the media. I really dislike that kind of one sided mindset.

But, don't enjoy the Limbaugh types either.

Does ANYBODY besides CSPAN give two sides anymore?

How in the world can a person form any semblance of an intelligent mindset with all this media garbage thrown out.

My "off" button works well on the car radio and tv.

Anonymous said...

Amen 3:09. You got that right! If not for the media, the results for both Palin and Obammy might have been dramatically different. The power of the press is frightening, but his record will prove his total incompetence with time.

Anonymous said...

Lots of comments but who can actually say this nice lady is even remotely qualified to ask for our vote to lead this country? Palin is an empty vase who was dragged out of obscurity in Alaska to hype up a floundering McCain campaign. The Republicans just must provide better options than this person.

Give us an example of a trap question that Katie asked that is above the expected intelligence of a vp candidate.

4:08 - so true. The whole debacle was so scripted. Unknown middle aged beauty queen, family values (oh sure), hunter governor - with those qualifications, a good sell for Vice President of the United States?

I'd like to see a poll of Republicans who were embarrassed by this. Oh well with one exception. The abortion religious fanatics that praised her for not aborting a down syndrome baby.

Now that this sweet little boy is here, she isn't even staying home much to look after him.

So much for family values, Mz Palin.

wordkyle said...

632 - You raise an interesting point. Who's looking after Obama's children while he's touring Asia? (Maybe Palin has a similar arrangement while she's on tour.) Or are you suggesting that the standard doesn't apply to Obama because he doesn't believe in family values?

Anonymous said...

Cmon Word, you're stretching it big time to claim with certainty her creds are even close to par with O's. Maybe just a wee crush? Her lack of creds were what spooked the vote; her gender, looks, ANWR stance and spunk are what attracted McCain to her flypaper. Cmon, come clean, you got her pic pinned to your ceiling? I won't diss, she's MILF material

Word, some folks can do a good balancing act with family while pursuing other things that are important such as making a living for them.

I don't care what is going on in a family, the mother is still the one a child USUALLY goes to with whatever the problem is.

Palin is out for herself with book signings, interviews. She'll keep up the pace until the Republicans nominate her for President. That's her goal.....

....can we all shout "you betcha" to that?

Anonymous said...

Obammy has NO "creds"! They dragged him, the token black, out of obscurity to run for the prez on family values and to appeal to the minorities and the poor folk. How is this any different from a woman representing oil, the ones of us who actually HAVE something in life, and family? Not much difference that I see. He is showing daily that he has no experience and doesn't deserve the office. No, 6:32. I wasn't embarrassed at all by her, but more proud than I've been in years! Now, it's Obammy that embarrasses me and I would imagine he's even embarrassed some of you libs as well, but you'd never want to admit it here.

Denney Crane said...

I would much rather vote for someone of integrity and character than a highly intelligent liar. It's just a matter of trust; and look what all this intelligence in Washington has done for America...

In business, if you hire someone smarter than you, they'll either steal you blind or own you in time.

I'm thankful that liberals are hating on her publicly, this helps her popularity more than anything else they could do...

Wordy, why you confuse people with fact and reason is beyond me... you make perfect sense, but liberals won't ever accept a leader that isn't part of America's ruling class. There's no money in it.

Anonymous said...

Denney - good points about integrity and intelligence.

Since you obviously have so much of this (most lawyers do), and are so disenchanted with Washington, the answer is obvious.

Run for office yourself. Begin here in Wise County, since the county has gone pretty well solid Republican - you'd have a great chance of winning. Then get to the next level on the climb toward Washington.

That's the best way I know of to bring your political values into focus and to try to initiate the changes you think need to happen.

We all get on here with our spew, but most of us (including me) are unwilling to enter the political arena.

It's hard work, expensive and time consuming.

Are you game?

Anonymous said...

Denney: you make good points, but when did he lie?
8:10: you're just hatin, another bigot, to say Obama has no creds is just ignorant. Lets put race and gender aside and revisit the cred thing you seem so passionate about. MY personal preference is that our political reps, our lawmakers, should have some kind of a law background in their education. Not a requirement, but its MY preference and I would think other voters have a similar bend toward that reasonable logic. For example, when we hire an AC guy, we want to know he went to AC school and got his license. Now with that in mind, do some research and hold Fading Paling up to our POTUS and tell us who's got the best leadership/lawmaking creds. Don't you see, the Dems WANT you all to bring her back in 2012; don't drink the Palin punch, you'll regret it, just like the folks that purchased those pink Crocs.

wordkyle said...

1130 - "He's a lawyer, she's not, so he's better." I'd like to see the statistics on how many voted for Obama based on your reasoning, and how many voted for him because they wanted to vote for the first black President. They are about the same level of soundness. My own thought is that studying political science, not law, may be a plus, but it depends on the person.

Maybe experience as an executive would be a better qualification for President. It is called the "executive branch." Using that criteria, let's compare Palin's experience to Obama's.....Hmmmm. Obama seems to be a little light in that area. As is well known, Palin served as mayor, and then as governor of a state, both executive positions.

Obama, on the other hand, has a single credit -- chairing the Chicago Annenburg Challenge, (a charity established by William Ayers, who Obama claimed to barely know.) After spending $160 million, Obama's "credit" showed no significant impact on the quality of Chicago schools. That's his single resume point, spending a lot of money with no results. (Hey, wait a minute....)

Denney Crane said...

Bro Kyle,

First, I never called the President a liar in my comment.

Second, he is a damn liar! Don't take my word for it, you count his lies here...and they are more than fair: http://www.politifact.com/truth-o-meter/

If calling someone a liar is bigoted, then I'm guilty.

Truth be told, I would vote Condi Rice over Hilary Clinton any day! I love Condi!

Your politicians who use "reasonable logic", including Bush, have almost destroyed this country.

You are the same person who would have followed Hitler in Germany...just because he was a great leader.

Anonymous said...

correct, Wordie...Palin has leadership experience while Obammy had none and now his actions demonstrate this sad lack of experience.

Wordy boy, the Annenberg challenge was estalished by Walter Annenberg, a very wealhy conserervive republican. Ayers and Obama were asked to serve on the board along with several others.Look it up.

wordkyle said...

1214 - My wording was poor. Ayers co-wrote the grant proposal that brought the Annenburg money to Chicago (thus the name Chicago Annenburg Challenge) and served as chairman of the Chicago School Reform Collaborative. Obama was chairman of the board of directors for the Chicago Annenburg Challenge. Sorry -- I made the unbelievable mistake of implying that a Liberal used his own money. You are correct; it was a Republican's money. My comments regarding Obama's lack of (successful) executive experience stand.
