Friday Night Lights: That Bridgeport Game Looks Exciting

Alvord (2-2) 26 Muenster Sacred Heart (3-2) 14 Graham (4-0) 49 Bridgeport (1-3) 48 Edit: Got a message from a very reliable source that read, "ESPN and [UT quarterback] Colt McCoy are at the Bridgeport/Graham game." It's an off week for Texas so he's got some free time. Just not sure what the connection would be. Edit: The answers came flooding in.

Case McCoy, Colt's younger brother, plays for Graham. Has already committed to the Evil Empire.

Colt's dad coaches Graham. Colt's brother is the qb. That might be some connection. Yes, he was there, surrounded by Bridgeport's finest.

ESPN was there shooting footage for Colt's potential Heisman award. The Bulls just almost spoiled the evening for the McCoy clan.

HA HA - Colt McCoy isn't even involved in a college football game this weekend and the press is STILL following him around! GREATNESS...!!!! Wonder if ESPN will attend the Baylor or Texas Tech game today...NOT!!! LOSERS!! CRYBABIES!!! WHah! Whah! 1:50, you're just another obnoxious Texas fan. Have some class and learn how to win with grace. It's sad that you can't love & support your team, and still have good sportsmanship. But, that's not the Longhorn way, is it?

Yep you're absolutely right! Thanks for the acknowledgment...I do love and support my team! I do have good sportsmanship, just tired of all the flack "the evil empire" receives on this site! Didn't see any of your comments on here when the Texas Tech fans were bashing the horns! Right back at ya! I guess you pick and choose your fights, huh? Touche'!

HOOK 'EM BABY!

Congrats to the DAWGS for breaking the wise county loosing streak!

The bulls played one helluva game last night. They probably should of won but let it get away. Anyway, the bulls grew up will go on to win district.

Hey "Hook 'em baby", I'm sorry to hear that you're so sensitive. So, since you don't like the way it feels for your team to be criticized, you talk smack to others in hopes of them feeling the same way. That's considerate. Hopefully your team will eventually play a ranked team and show what they're supposedly made of.

They had 6 or 8 players out. Mccoy wasn"t jv.

1:50 you are just another fair weather, band-waggoning, whiny orange tea-sip. Let the horns have an of season and you'll be hatin' on 'em. You talk smack but ain't dyed-in-the-wool.

Guns Up, for better or for worse.

Okay....Now why was Colt McCoy at the Bridgeport game????

You wouldn't have a clue as to whether or not I am a "fair weather, band-waggoning, whiny orange tea-sip"...

LOL! What a joke, if you only knew me! You would be totally laughing your ass off!

I love the horns whether they win or not...however, the "not" doesn't come around very often, so fortunately we don't have too much to be discouraged about and when the Evil Empire does lose a game, we know they'll rebound like they always have and will! We focus on the games, not twittering!!!!!

Keep your guns up...that is about as consistent tt gets!

Hook 'em Baby! - Keep 'em whining!

Lots of sad little boys walking around the Bulls game Friday night. They asked for autographs and Colt said he'd do it after halftime. He came out surrounded by Bport police officers walking very briskly (nearly a run). He signed 2 autographs and kept going. I know my son, who was 3rd in line, was disappointed!!

I told my husband "the Bulls would have had a better second half, too, if we had COLT MCCOY giving our half time pep talk speech." Really, it was neat to have him there. Not surprising that we had no local media coverage of it...but ESPN was there! I just get tired of all the bad news going on. It was a fun, light-hearted story of having a celebrity in town. Why can't we have some good news now and then!

Case was ok, just ok. His true success was his offensive line! They held the Bport defense for an unbelieveable amount of time after the snap. With a line like that, most any quarterback will do well!

I liked what I saw from our Bport Bulls Friday night. Blevins and Waldrip were awesome!! Looking forward to District play - here we come!!!

It's hard to win with grace when they have no tradition in winning...hmmm..
And let me tell you, tradition makes them so jealous!!!
