I'm Not Impressed
I've been seeing this video everywhere, and I don't get the fascination with it.
Was it "amazing"? Well, if the kid had one chance to do it during a contest with a ton of money riding on it, or if he were to pull it off in the state playoffs, yeah, it would be.
But there are kids jacking around in gyms every day across the nation doing crazy shots time and time again. Heck, in Bridgeport Middle School, I hit a full court shot once after chunking the basketball at the goal every day for three months. That didn't make me special or good, it made me lucky. Heck, it had to go in eventually.
But today catch a crazy shot on video and this guy becomes national news.
Well, not on this blog. We have a set of standards, albeit murky at times, that will not be compromised.
So, kid, go back to your Playstation and quit jumping around like Christian Laettner. And, by the way, don't even think about getting on my lawn.

this blog has standards?
I thought the same thing when the news networks ran and reran it. It was a fluke, nothing more, and certainly not news-worthy.
Oh for goodness sakes! Let the kid have a few minutes of "look at me"!
If you can spend time looking at all these scantily clad women...then this kid can get his one minute of fame...Barry grow up!!! It is not all about you!!!
That's funny.
Barry, 1:37 had to be your Mother. Too perfect.
Come on Bubear, your memory is fading in your old age. Back in '72, you shot that basketball a quarter mile.
Double Fake Uncle Rico
"dont think about getting on my lawn"? woah. you should stand on your front porch and think about saying that, and then you will know how weird that is for someone your age to be saying that.
He's great and you suck. Live with it. I didn't see your video.
It's a fake. Ball goes in on a different path, plus from the position he was in, he could not have pushed the ball that far. It's a great fake, though. Do you know how many people out there are trying these fakes for their 15 minutes. And since some keep getting theirs, it keeps happening.
LeBron, try this? Hey kid, why don't YOU try it again, only this time with someone about six foot ten standing immediately in front of you trying to stop you.
"It's a fake."...Try it with someone six foot standing in front of you...
what is wrong with you people????
He's a kid..he did a trick...he put the ball in...it was a neat thing to do...Could he do it again? Maybe! Maybe not! Does it matter? Not really! Why are you all so dang pissed off because this kid did a great trick one time??? Beats me!!!
I'm impressed, and I don't believe it's a fake.
what's the big deal, we see or hear of this sort of fluke-type-thing all the time.
It happens every day somewhere; just not on camera most of the time, though.

i agree, it is a fake. The RTVF club used cgi to photoshop in the basketball. I can tell because for teh pixels.
Good shot, but I kinda thought full court basketball shots were part of the universal experience. And, I think Lebron has done something better a time or two, so stop with the OMG stuff now.
Or maybe I'm just miserable cause I've never been so excited about something so dumb as those kids in the video are.
