As I mentioned today, the kid who allegedly sucker punched the UCLA tennis player after the Rascal Flatts concert needed to turn himself in. And he did.
His lawyer released this letter today on the Internet and, I've got to tell you, that's not a bad way to get his message across. Although it could have been written with a little more compassion and a lot more persuasiveness, it's not bad.

hey, letter seems fine to me. What the facts are seem to be in dispute between the various news reporting agencies and laywers.
Sometimes, it is funny where Roscoe the rat ends up in the wheel of public thought.
Maybe someday, we'll tire of the old, Person 1: "hey I just heard X." Person 2: "really that is big, I'm gonna tell Y." Y: Hey thanks, I'm gonna run a story about this in paper.
General Public: Oh, I believe cause it was in the paper; surely, they have fact checkers and editors.
Fact Checkers and Editors: Oh yeah, we were fired on Tuesday.
Since the invention of the printing press (and television), written (spoken as in the case of television and radio) words have been given too much respect. People lie with their vocal chords and with the printing press.
Since the people telling the tale, in the first reports to the media, were unable to correctly report something as basic as Hutcheson's height a person is forced to question what other facts were misreported. There is a VAST and obvious difference between a 6'1" tall male who weighs 190 pounds and a 5'8" male who weighs 165 pounds.
The Fleming/Hutcheson situation is a prime example of why ASSAULT is STUPID.
Ummmm? If Chance was in the right, why did he take so long before turning himself in? I also think that this small, under weight child, packs one hell of a punch. I would never think for one second that this is the first time he he's "sucker puched" someone or that it was just a lucky shot. If I was scared for my life, I don't think I'd be running from the situation. Don't get me wrong, I'm all for getting the attorney but get one and go talk to the police. If your are right in defending yourself, you may save yourself a lot of trouble.
Is it me or does anyone else think his "attourney" is just some buddy with Word and a laser printer attempting (and failing) to sound official and professional?

Me: I'm gonna go watch HBO and read the BBC.
I'm guessing some cell phone videos will tell much more of the story.

Weak. I would be embarrassed if that came out of my firm.
If assault is so stupid what does that make pepper?
To anonymous 8:36...
*LOL*
That was a horrible pun.

What? The news media reporting a story and not getting the facts right? What a surprise (dripping with heavy sarcasm)!

All of those guys that went to the Racal Flatts concert with other guys should be prosecuted for criminal gayness.
3:29! You have made the best point so far indeed.
