Not as powerful as you thought, hey Barry? Contact the SBC, my friend.

Fawcett gave a good contribution - mainly to domestic violence against women.

Jackson?....just a sick young man from a sicker family.

May both rest in peace.

Jeff Goldblum is dead, too.

We should all wear one white glove in tribute.

Ed McMahon died earlier this week. Add Farrah and Michael...that is a trifecta.

Awful news. If I were a celeb, I'd be wondering who was #3!!

Hey, did I read you right 6:40, Jeff Goldblum is dead? When did he die? Wasn't he the guy on Jurassik Park?

Always sorry for the families of a fellow traveler who has shuffled off this mortal coil.

Has anyone seen Lee Majors in his recent TV ads? Man, makes me feel old.

Did you know that Jewel and Ty Murray [that bullfighter guy] are married? To each other?

Anonymous said...

Stupid world we live in, worshiping that aberration of a human. Good riddance.

7:21--- too damned funny!

Jar-- Thanks for the perspective.
Who the hell are those people?

I'd think once a person molests kids, it would take the edge off that person's "beacon of hope to the world" and "inspiration to us all" status....except in the U.S. Guess we're pretty forgiving to those who are otherwise famous. Kobe, Clinton, on and on. If someone walks into my office and an intern is under my desk, I doubt I get promoted to President of the company.

Anonymous said...

I will miss him. We shared a special moment. RIP- WP

Anonymous said...

I would like to let you all know- although it really does not matter at the moment- Ty Murray is a Bull RIDER not a bullfighter. There is a big difference! You live in Texas- come on..... :)

You know more about Micheal Jackson. . . .

Kinda odd that every kid in the world wanted to bang Farrah and Michael wanted to bang every kid in the world. And they died on the same day....

Anonymous said...

Freaking child predator. No amount of talent or money can erase the trauma that a sexual predator inflicts on their victim. Good riddance!

Anonymous said...

Jackson was from a weirdo family too. Only God knows what went on there that carried over into his adult life....and how many kids he messed up for life - then how many other kids they will molest.

Sad, sick, talented man.

12:50 - I don't like these perverts either. Just don't see how any lawyer can get through representing one, especially if they have children.

Anonymous said...

Is that a picture of Jackson? Does not look like him/her to me.

I'll bet that idiot Governor from South Carolina is so happy this happened...hadn't heard a word about him on the news since Michael Jackson died.

I knew I'd hook someone with that "bullfighter" reference.

Congratulations! You win the "Know-it-all-no-sense-of-humor" prize for the day!

I swear. Thank God for the internets. Otherwise we'd have to actually encounter these buzzkills in person.

I have never been so outraged to read all of these hateful, judgmental blogs written regarding Michael Jackson. He was not a convicted child molester. If there were "any" reason to convict MJ of these crimes, proof would have been found and he would be serving time in jail...MJ was a victim of the media and his father. I am sure that all of you judgmental bloggers have such a pristeen past and nothing to be ashamed of. MJ gave a lot back to the people. He raised tons of money for different charities. Have you contributed as he has? No, you sit there at your computer and type insult after insult...Michael Jackson was an icon. May the man rest in peace and be remembered for all the good he has done and of course, his talent!!

Anonymous said...

Farrah will be missed.

Anonymous said...

LOL Jarhead! That was a good one!

How very naive you are, 9:18, to have the misconception that an acquittal means no crime was committed. What planet do you live on? The courts get it wrong often, and especially in the case of a celebrity, who have the money and the influence to sway the outcome. Geesh!

Anonymous said...

Hilarious, 7:16, 7:21, 7:47!

mzchief said...

To anonymous 10:40...
Excuse me?....

I doubt very seriously Jacko or members of his defense team used "money and the influence to sway the outcome" of the trial. Jury tampering is a VERY serious allegation.

The outcome of the murder trial of O.J. Simpson and sexual assualt trial of Jacko is what frequently happens when a defendant has the financial resources to compete dollar for dollar with the state.

Jacko was acquitted of ALL charges brought against him, which in the U.S., does indeed mean the creepy freak retained his innocence.

If one were to follow your line of thinking that an acquittal by a court and jury is not an indication no crime was committed then the converse is true with regard to convictions; just because someone is convicted of all charges does not indicate a crime was committed. If that is true then the U.S. legal system is corrupt and ALL prisoners should be freed because there is no evidence a crime was committed.

Disclaimer: I never liked Jacko and have always thought he was wacko. If Jacko was a tortured soul it was self inflicted.

she will be missed she was a great person

Anonymous said...

mike was a childmolester the only reason he was never convicted was the fact that the parents of the children took a bribe from him so that he could get off the hook. i am happy that in his final judgement he will face a judge that money cannot sway

Anonymous said...

to mzchief: I didn't say EVERYONE who is acquitted is guilty, just that a not-guilty verdict does not mean that a crime wasn't committed. i know it means that legally, but not in the real world, or in the life of the victim. And yes, often it works the other way. We have many innocents who are convicted wrongly. The many DNA tests resulting in later releasing the guys we imprisoned wrongly are proof of that. I just made the point that just because a court reaches a verdict, that doesn't EVER mean it was the true and just one. When people are the ones making the decisions, there is always room for mistakes and corruption, especially when money is invovled!

Man rest in peace? You sure? Thats a stretch, isn't it?

More disturbed about Jon and Kate breaking up than about MJ bitin' it. Any that's not sayin' alot.

mzchief said...

To anonymous 12:12...
Regardless of what you think or how you attempt to explain it, in the REAL WORLD a person being ACQUITTED of all charges does indeed mean they DID NOT commit the crime for which they were charged/tried. Just because you attempt to second guess the verdict of a trial, with which you disagree, the meaning of the verdict is not changed. In Michael Jackson's case, since the only evidence there was of sexual molestation were the claims of a child's parents and Jackson being creepy, the fact Jackson was acquitted does indeed indicate there was NO CRIME.

With regard to your comment referencing post-conviction DNA evidence resulting in the release of wrongfully convicted prisoners; there is a VAST difference between post-conviction evidence overturning a jury's/judge's verdict than the opinions of random individuals. In the REAL WORLD a defendant is either guilty or innocent based on the outcome of their trial. Until there is additional EVIDENCE to prove otherwise the defendant will remain either guilty or innocent as determined by the verdict. There has been no additional evidence to PROVE Michael Jackson was guilty of child molestation.

Frequently, the fact someone is acquitted of a crime does not mean there was no crime but the acquittal does indicate the person charged with the crime is NOT GUILTY.

Personally, I believe the parents of the child, who was the center of the molestation case, should have been charged with neglect for having allowed their child to sleep over, for days on end, with a 40 year old male whom had befriended their child, who was not a family member.

Anonymous said...

Mzchief - your last comment really says it all. Who in their right mind would let their child sleep in the same bed with Michael Jackson? Ok, maybe no sexual stuff happened, but it is still way abnormal.

....I agree, those parents should have been charged with neglect.

Anonymous said...

"there is nothing more loving than sharing your bed with someone"

...just sayin'

Speaking of "child molesters" or whatever... Am I the only one who has noticed that there are 3 or more registered sex offenders living at the same address on Branding Iron Rd...?

Is that in New Fairview, and what the hell is going on there?... SEZ OFFENDER CAMP??!!!

Anonymous said...

Do most people on here not keep up with the world? Michael was aquitted on those molestation charges. Now understand, MJ was an odd individual, but he had a kind heart and that got him in to trouble with the trash that he felt sorry for. They took advantage of that and made his life miserable. Jealousy of commoners, or "have nots" is usually the problem here. He worked for everything he ever had. I suppose it's easy to sit back in your recliner with a beer gut and run him down...anyway, it was a sad day to loose two icons of modern pop culture.

Who cares about Jackson. He died and is no longer a worry. His music legacy will go on and the family will get filthy rich off of items sold under his name. Farrah died and will be missed. Not so much about her in the media. Wonderland will now be open to children of all ages and sex with no discrimination to those who enter the gates. So now on to the next post.

Anonymous said...

8:00 edit... I meant SEX offender camp...

Anonymous said...

I agree with 8:06!! You are a smart person who can spell!! OMG thats a rare thing on here. Michael Jackson did not get convicted. Truth is that he probably would have never had a fair trial. I dont blame him for paying the people off. He was guilty in the eyes of so many. He was a wierd guy. He never had a childhood. I think thats why he liked having kids around. Look at what all he had at Neverland. He had alll kinds of animals and toys there. I honestly believe he was reliving his childhood. There were child stars that stayed with him. They are grown now. They have always defended him. I think we will feel the loss of him for years to come. Farrah was a great lady. She fought so bravely. She had been so sick for so long. We will miss her for many years to come also. Both are a huge loss to all of us fans.

Anonymous said...

8:00 - I have no knowledge of that, but do wonder just what agency sees that these registered sex offenders have signs in their yards? Maybe they put them in the back yard?

At least one sex offender in Bridgeport does NOT have a sign in his yard.

All you legal folks on here - have an answer for this one?

Anonymous said...

I have never honestly seen signs in anyone's yards around here... I didn't know that was still a law. If that's the case, I think the sheriff's dept needs to do a sex offender yard sign audit.

Anonymous said...

It may be that publishing photos and home addresses of sex offenders in the paper is now all that is required and for those with computers, the information is on the sheriff's website. Good.

At least that is something.
