Man, that was some firce rivalry happening there. And the flames were just expanded when UCI attempted a hidden-ball trick on an LSU player, who was called out at second base IN SPITE of getting back safely. The 2B umpire wasn't even looking, but since the UCI second baseman sold the call, he got the call. See for yourself on youtube by checking "UC-Irvine - hidden ball." Made the umpires look pathetic. But justice was served in the end, as LSU won the series in the third game by 19-7 or something like that.

Irvine is actually farther SOUTH than Atlanta, Charlotte, Memphis or Nashville, not to mention in a State that was out of the mainstream, to say the least, during the Civil War.

just saw on channel 8 that a crane at the new cowboys stadium fell over injuring 3
