Oh, My

Assuming it's not photoshopped, and I would presume the LSU team is playing a northern team.

They were playing University of California at Irvine and the UCI coach made some disparaging remarks befor the series. He said that the LSU people didn't know the Civil War was over.

Man, that was some firce rivalry happening there. And the flames were just expanded when UCI attempted a hidden-ball trick on an LSU player, who was called out at second base IN SPITE of getting back safely. The 2B umpire wasn't even looking, but since the UCI second baseman sold the call, he got the call. See for yourself on youtube by checking "UC-Irvine - hidden ball."
Made the umpires look pathetic. But justice was served in the end, as LSU won the series in the third game by 19-7 or something like that.

just saw on channel 8 that a crane at the new cowboys stadium fell over injuring 3

21-7. The UCI coach used to coach USC and they lost in a regional at LSU about 8 years ago. He's been mad at LSU ever since then. The sign was solely for his benefit.

How can a crane fall when it was on the ground? Great reporting.

Irvine is actually farther SOUTH than Atlanta, Charlotte, Memphis or Nashville, not to mention in a State that was out of the mainstream, to say the least, during the Civil War.
