Sorry! Due to the high price of fuel, we refuse to buy any!! We will not buy any until we print more money, (can't afford ink cartridges now) or gas is below $3.00 and diesel is below $3.50. Sorry!!

Hmmm. Will the world explode if they sell $4 diesel without the proper part? Is $3.99 diesel less explosive?

Anonymous said...

Wow,the engineers who designed that pump could not foresee fuel prices of today.

Anonymous said...

Wise County, a geographical oddity. Two weeks from everywhere.

Well, for some reason, I think diesel will never go below $4.00 again. I remember when it was cheaper than gasoline. Heck, I remember when gasoline was thirty-nine or maybe even nineteen cents a gallon at a station south of Decatur....I try not to let this shiate freak me out.

check this out barry, every time i hear it i think about you.

Why wouldn't they sell diesel at 3.99 until they get the parts in?

Anonymous said...

In other words they're lazy and greedy. All old style pumps like that should be banned, any 20 year old pump is highly inaccurate. Anybody who was paying attention could have seen diesel was going way above $4 a gallon, they had plenty of time to order parts. Now they're losing money.

I just read Amy Winehouse is worth an estimated 20 million dollars. I know this has nothing to do with nothing but, that blows me away.

Anonymous said...

The $7 range per gallon is expected in the next year or two.

Anonymous said...

Hey anon....7:51am....WTF...APPARENTLY YOU JUST DO NOT GET IT!!!! Maybe you just need to read the blogs and keep your comments to yourself!! thank goodness you are anonymous!!!

Anonymous said...

Do like we did when gas went over $1.00. Set the pump at a rate of 1/2 of what you want to charge. If you want $4.10 per gallon then set the pump at $2.05. Then charge the customer double the dollar amount that he pumped.....of course the customer can't pay at the pump doing it this way....and you better post a sign saying what you are doing or some idiot will think he's getting a great deal!

WHEN will SOMEBODY...SOMETHING...do something about these totally out of control gas prices? Does the world need to shut down before it is understood that people cannot continue to pay these ludicrus prices??

Anonymous said...

9:05 - the rest of the world has been paying $5 to $7 a gallon for years. Why do you seem to believe you have the "right" to cheaper gas? Get used to it - there are estimeate that oil is going to about $180 a barrel before demand is reduced enough to impact prices.

I'll take a dozen hair nets.

I dont know about everyone else but I have cut down on my driving alot...feel sorry for those that have to drive all over the place for their job. Gas has its own spot in my budget now instead of with all the extras.

Saw a news report over the Weekend about how Truckers and Industry along the border are getting permits to buy Diesel and Gas in Mexico. Diesel prices are hovering around $2.50 a gallon. Trickers are saving anywhere from $700 to $1000 everytime they fill up.

As the report was being done, I kept pondering why in Mexico the fuel prices are so much less than just across the border in the United States. Well, so did the reporter. So he asked a fincial advisor and economy expert the same question. The Response, "Better Regulating and regulations."

I wonder when the Senate Congressional hearings were going on if they bothered to find out that the reason the American Public was being gouged by the Industry if they were to blame?

Hey 11:50, big news, we aren't the rest of the world! We have enough stockpiled to last us years and years, not to mention the capped wells , not to mention the oil in Alaska, not to mention the abundant amount of oil in the Gulf. We are a self suffecient Country when it comes to oil and gas. Some don't want to disturb the Elk in Alaska or the fish in the Gulf. On top of that those other Countries, pay a lot less for other things such as health care if they don't get it for free already.
It's called Greed, check it out.

This idea would solve a lot of the problems in the U.S. right now, don't pay your income tax. What are they going to do if no one pays?, put everyone in jail? That might get their attention. We need to hurt the Senators and Congressmans pocket book for a while then see if they'll do something about it.

Going to sell my diesel today. I don't need one anyways I was just able to drive them cheaper but not any longer.

The fuel prices in Mexico have SOMETHING to do with the fact that Mexico does not import a single gallon of fuel. Mexico is the second largest exporter, behind Canada, of crude to the U.S. Hubby mzchief is currently in Kuwait and just paid $15.18 to fill up the 22 gallon tank of his Range Rover. Fuel prices are DRAMATICALLY impacted by processing, importation and transportation costs and not the least of which exportation fees.

Fuel costs are based upon global demand and OPEC supply. Why should OPEC care that people in the U.S. are hissing and spitting about fuel costs when they still willingly pay $5. for a 20 oz. coffee drink (approx. $32. per gallon) and purchased 10.5 million iPods the first quarter (Jan. Feb. Mar.) of 2008 and are expected to purchase 6 million copies of Grand Theft Auto IV within the first week of release?

How many people hissing and spitting about the cost of fuel have given up smoking, drinking alcohol, cable T.V., Internet, paying costs associated with their children having an auto, cell phones and eating out? How many people are carpooling or requiring their kid to ride the bus to school?

Incidentally, yesterday, fuel cost $8.78 a gallon in London.

The U.S. government puts people in prison for failing/refusing to pay their taxes, just ask Wesley Snipes.

Anonymous said...

Mzchief, read my comment again at 12:04 and think for goodness sake. I realize Snipes is in prison for not paying taxes, he's one person out of millions. Think mzchief, think. You really think they have enough room in U.S. prisons for every American that doesn't pay their taxes. Jeez, go back to your People magazine and your fantasy world. Oh yes, could you have just said, "fill up the 22 gal. tank on his vehicle"? Or, were you attempting to impress everyone by letting us know it's a Range Rover.
Mzchief, Big, Big, Secret, NOBODY GIVES A SH*T about what "Hubby" drives. We realize from your comments, experiences and "Snow Bunny" picture that you must be a "Hooty-Toot". Mzchief, BIG, BIGGer secret, nobody cares!!

If you've bought a SUV or truck you have no right to complain about gas prices. You've made your bed, now lay in it.

As for me, I love my diesel. And no, its not in a truck. I don't use waste vegetable oil, I process it in my garage into biodiesel. HA HA

I just wonder when enough people will educate themselves to understand that oil prices are not set by the oil companys? News flash oil is a commodity just like coffee, steel, wheat, corn..... The investors worldwide are nervous about the state of our federal deficit. Therefore they are willing to pay record prices for oil. Make no mistake, there is no shortage of oil in fact we have a stockpiles of the stuff. This bubble will burst. It makes my head hurt when I hear Presidental hopefuls slam the oil companys. It's pandering at its most ignorant level. Just a thought.

From your comments it certainly seems as though YOU care. I NEVER gave any thought to naming the vehicle being fueled as anything but my being accurate. I have never thought it was a big deal to drive a Range Rover ESPECIALLY since anyone with a BRAIN would realize that Hubby mzchief does NOT own the vehicle in Kuwait. The people who do NOT care about me are the ones who did not bother to rant about ME. It must REALLY suck to be you since you cannot get over me being me and get on with you being you.

Jealousy is a disease! I hope you get well, soon!

As for your scheme not to pay taxes, the IRS might not get EVERYONE for not paying their taxes but you can bet the IRS would go after quite a few people and no one would know they would not be the one the IRS would go after. The REAL problem with your suggestion that EVERYONE break the law and not pay their taxes so that no one goes to prison is that not EVERYONE is of the same criminal mindset as YOU.

Anonymous said...

Mizcreep, we don't care!! I live a happy life, not one of jealousy. I have to keep up with NO ONE. I just love jerking your chain sister-girl. See ya!!

I could care less about the life or opinions of some over indulged spoiled brats. I have my own problems to deal with and I too recognized the insert of Class status. She does it all of the time. I just sometime want to throw up when she posts things. Glad somebody calls her out over her prentious attitude.

4:10, From the looks of things, Mzchief being Mzchief is the one yanking your chain, sister-girl. It's great seeing nasty old broads like you getting all twisted up over a hot babe like Mzchief.

Dang, all the stations in Granbury seem to be doing alright pump-technology-wise... Diesel was $4.09/gal this morning and every pump had a big ass truck filling up.

I just laughed as my 10 m.p.g. gas-bonging Suburban left the 15 horsepower hybrid in a cloud of ozone-depleting exhaust at the stop light.

Then I threw out my three week old McDonald's bag right in the middle of 377, tossed out a cigarette and clubbed a harp seal when I got to the office.

"Damn it feels good to be a gangster."

Oil prices are way up, thats for sure. Why are the oil company profit margins so high? Every quarter breaks a record.

Anonymous said...

From Drudge Report this morning:
BP and Royal Dutch Shell have reported massive increases in profits for the first three months of this year on the back of rocketing petrol prices, which are expected to hit £5 a gallon today.

BP's pre-tax profits rose 48 per cent in the first quarter to $6.6 billion (£3.3 billion) while Shell increased its profits 12 per cent to a record $7.8 billion (£3.9 billion).

Those people in London and elsewhere overseas may be soon saying things like:
Our gas prices high? Over in the United States gas cost 29.99.9 per gallon! We have it good here!

Anonymous said...

Defenders of "let the market set the price with supply and demand" and other such sayings like blah blah in Europe Blah Blah Yadda ya are total
BULLSHIT!
As Leno said last night paraphrased, since the price of oil has got so high, Dick Cheney has not had a single heart attack.

Conservative Republicans can cream his/her pants easy with high gas prices and Bush still president cause they are so proud of Doobie.
