Maybe Mr. Lambert owned the office the EDC was occupying and he gave 'em the Wise County Boot when he resigned?
Cuz they were doing it from his mobile home?
The only other employee was the female assistant. I imagine they just didn't want her working all day, every day, in the building alone. Also, no reason not to save some on the rent cost.

Why the sudden resignation? Didi I miss something or is the "Messenger" trying to hide/create a "nonstory"?
Let's see - there was Twisted X and the EDC and then the lovely Landmark site as you enter Decatur from the south & the EDC.
My guess is that maybe Mr. Mayor and Mr. EDC may have had some differences of opinion.
Story is it was "lewd" behavior in the office.
I imagine the EDC decided while they were losing baggage, they would lose the rent for a few months until they can move into the old post office/visitor's center. That's where they need to be anywhere!!!
