Worst. Luck. Ever.

Story.

Another link here. (Been hearing complaints that people are having trouble reaching some widely read sites with Embarq which is not good news since my office is in the process of switching over to them.)

Does he get to keep all her stuff?
What about the wedding gifts? Do they have to be sent back?
There should be a rule that if this happens, the groom should get to keep a brides maid or something.

Yes, Embarq has had some problems for a week now. Initially, I couldn't even get on Google but they fixed that within a day or two and now it's sites like Drudge, Foxnews, yahoo that I still can't get on. They keep telling me it's a routing problem in Texas.

Embarq will filter out emails w/links too; get ready for the "fun."

This has to be the luckiest guy in the history of ever.

So they lied to me last friday about Earthlink blocking EMBARQ customers from accessing certain sites?

You Embarqtards, its because the Embarq DNS servers are great piles of poo.

Use OpenDNS:

My wedding day was the happiest day of my life. I would give a million dollars to trade places with her.

m&m - We had the same problem for over a week with Embarf and finally told them that if they didn't fix it, we would terminate. They sent a set of instructions that worked, admitting the problem was theirs. Maybe that helpful downlad link will get around their problems.

Five bucks says the Groom will be out at a "Frillys" next week!

Big and fat is right AND a lifelong diabetic:heart attack looking for a place to happen.

I've heard of marriage referred to as a "life sentence" or "death sentence", just didn't know it was carried out so fast. Must've been in Texas.

I, too, have had problems linking to various common sites. I've complained to Embarq and they sent me to their technical support. Their "fixes" better be quick and effective - or I'll check out the alternatives. Are there better alternatives?

Embarq is having a KNOWN problem with their DNS servers. They are switching them, so your computer may not automatically go to the correct one. Call their tech support and they can give you the numbers to manually type in in your TCP/IP address. If you are savy, the numbers are:

Primary: 76.7.255.188

Secondary/alternate: 65.164.201.148

Tech guy told me they should be back to normal in a week or two and you can go back to automatically select.

Anony at 7:50 Thanks for the info,

Changed my DNS Primary:76.7.255.188

and

Secondary/alternate: 65.164.201.148

like you posted and all is good. Google, Amazon, etc....

Thanks Again!

The tech guy had me put in those same dns #'s and explained it's a way to bypass the routing in Texas and actually goes through Missouri. It worked.

Can you imagine all the sympathy booty this man will get when he tells the girls what happened? Lucky bastard.
