The Houston (Ex) DA Is A Coward

Heck, I don't care if you had an affair, but if you're going to resign because of it don't say, "I have come to learn that the particular combination of drugs prescribed for me in the past has caused some impairment in my judgment." Puuuhhhhllleeeezzzzzeeee.

You've spent your life pointing the finger at people, demanding accountability, preaching about "consequences for your actions." Sir, you should demand the same of yourself. I wouldn't care if you chose to stay in office, just don't go making excuses.

"Sorry Honey. I can't see you any more. I must have been on drugs. Surely my judgement was impaired. I would have never, knowingly, gone out with you." That'll go over good!

He's in trouble because his thoughts were visible on a screen. Millions of others are not in trouble but think about the same kinds of things, and worse...their thoughts don't go from brain to screen so it's OK. Every man at a high school football game who looks at a cheerleader's backside is a pedophile, but they won't have to do 10 as long as they keep the images in their head.

He forgot the one that works best, "I have had a troubled childhood."

Please recall that this is the Republican prosecutor who got the judge to dismiss the arson charge against the Republican state Supreme Court judge. The grand jury is still very irritated that their charge is not being tried.

Typical Sexually Repressed Republican. Those Angry White Men/Males just have trouble with sex. They don't want to like it, because they know it is a sin, but sometime the harmones (even the Grand Old Party Republican Fart Harmones) kick in and they just go crazy. At least Rush takes his drugs and Viagra to Foriegn Islands where sex with little boys is legal, or at least not prosecuted and the "law" looks the other way.

"The pressure built as hundreds of demonstrators protested outside his office and as his own assistant district attorney, Kelley Siegler, now a candidate to replace him, said publicly he should resign. Her husband, Sam, had sent Rosenthal several of the offensive e-mails."

Let me get this straight - The guy is under pressure to resign because of emails in his INBOX? (Meaning they were sent to him) And his assistant is running to replace him, but her husband sent him some of the offensive emails? What the hell am I not getting here?

That's right, B! He should have done work as a defense attorney to have the right, privilege, weakness, or (whatever you want to call it) to avoid personal responsibility for his actions, right B? How many criminal defendants (through their lawyers) have blamed their anti-social behavior on the drugs, the alcohol, bad parents, no parents, the victim, etc. etc. The highway of hyprocrisy has two lanes, podnuh!

This is just my opinion but, he had to come up with something, BG. Wonder what would happen if we dug into other high ranking offical's computers? Mmmmm....

Kelley Siegler, and her big mouth husband need to put the heels on. You know he is pushing her into that position. She's going to get it soon enough.

Barry, I hate to shoot down all the conspiracy theories here, but this whole show is for one person, the wife. If his wife accepts this lame excuse...that's all he wants. He's not really interested in convincing the rest of us and I'm sure he knows it's lame. Men do a lot of things to keep their wives happy...especially after getting caught with another woman. If she'll buy the prescription drug defense, I've got not problem with that.
