This Should Help Our Reputation

No defense lawyer in a murder case would ever hire a person to befriend a critical prosecution witness months before the trial and then, after the prosecution witness testifies, call the hired person to the witness stand to say (paraphrasing), "That witness for the prosecution, who I know very well, told me a completely different story." Oh, my.

I think your first word in comment should be "ANY". Finally, the system goes after a repeat offender who, naturally, felt he was above the law.

How many strikes does a lawyer get before he's disbarred??? This isn't the NFL or MLB we're talking about-this is a legal professional getting into legal trouble over and over and over!
