- As for one single season, Tony Romo's 2007 performance is the best by a quarterback in Cowboy history. Troy or Roger never played like this.
- Jason Witten is the best Cowboy tight end ever.
- I think I'd choose T.O. over Michael Irvin.
- Offensive Coordinator Jason Garrett has to be running this thing. Listen to the weekly interview The Ticket has with Wade Phillips and there is no way I can believe he's the mastermind behind this season. (Edit: And was Wade wearing an "Eastern Division Champion" t-shirt at the post game press conference?)
- I get this weird feeling about an upcoming playoff disaster like the Mavericks have perfected.

Yeah, but if a Detroit Lions' player doesn't screw up a very simple fumble recovery after Romo had the ball stripped on the last drive, we're talking today about Romo and Witten "choking" in the clutch and NOT getting it done. Football is like that.
I understand that Wade Phillips is grooming Jason Garrett to take over as head coach when he steps down. Garrett has been offered to many good jobs to not be gone and something not be going on behind the scences. GO COWBOYS!
I have to agree with the first two posts. Especially that Jason Garrett must get much credit for the Cowboy's improvements.
I guess I am too old school to take Owens over Irvin. I always remebered Irvin making plays that motivated his team. Owens is good, real good and he makes great plays but they seem to lack what Irvin could bring. Anyway go Cowboys!!!
I heard T.O.'s middle name is Eldorado? T.O.=Crybaby. I'm just waiting for the implosion.
Barry...I know a lawyer hates to hear this but polish does not always equal intellect and it takes an intellectual snob to think it does. Jason Garrett is doing a great job but if you think a first year coordinator is responsible for all of this success, I think you underestimate what it takes to coach on the NFL level.
Jason Garrett is a really smart guy - a Princeton graduate. I hope the Cowboys can find a way to keep him.
Eldorado Owens is about Owens. Michael Irvin was about the Cowboys. Owens is probably the bigger talent, but I'll take guts over talent. Remember Cowboy Bill Bates.
I am going to believe good things until they show me otherwise.
Go Cowboys!!
Can't forget Barber ~ he's looking pretty good too.
I don't think we are giving Wade enought credit.
Owens has made Dallas his home, and I'm sure most of his fans enjoy knowing that. Until he starts getting arrested for drugs on multiple occasions I think I will stick with Owens. I don't think he would be ALL about himself after throwing a very nicely collected charity event for his birthday.
Guts? You might think Irvin a little more since he wasn't scared to get arrested a couple of times for drugs on multiple accounts (he sure had the guts to do it again)
Owens is great on and off the field!
Eldorado = Cadillac (Named after a Caddy...go figure!)
My "favorite" Cowboy of all time is Randy White. While the dude was an animal on the field and his accomplishments were outstanding... where did he get that thick southern accent? You would swear the guy was born and "raised up" in the shadow of Texas Stadium (or in Wise county)... WRONG!!! Born in Pittsburgh (of all places) grew up and attended HS in Delaware and went to college at Maryland ~ didn't come to Texas until 1975. ??? Do you automatically become a hick when you get drafted by the Cowboys or is it just a carefully cultivated image? Hell I've lived here since '80 and I'm nowhere as "country" as Randy.
I love me some Marion Barber. He's like a terminator energizer bunny out on that field.
ALL I KNOW IS... ITS A GREAT FEELING TO ROOT FOR A WINNING TEAM!!! dam* it feels soooooooooooooooooo goood!
i love me some boys!
it's about time and well worth the wait! if the cowboys were awesome every year...it wouldn't be as special. :)
i do miss glenn... tho!
Best scenario would be Cleveland beating the Cowboys in the Super Bowl. Dallas has Cleveland's draft pick and would then get the last 2 picks in the first round. Let the downward spiral begin again.
I think Jay Novacek was a prety good tight end. He caught plenty of passes across the middle for touchdowns.
As for the current Cowboy worship, let them win a Super Bowl or two before starting the canonization ceremony.
(I'm ready to join in when they do.)
Love me some Cowboys!!!!!!
The Jerry Jones Cowboys haven't won even 1 playoff game in over a decade. Every other team in the league (except Detroit) has won a playoff game since the Cowboys. It does look like that lousy record may finally be erased this year.
