If all of the Anglos were deported "...back to Europe where they belong!" they would want to take back ALL of their STUFF such as economy, industry and improvements thus leaving nothing but what they found when they invaded what is now the United States. Such a scenario would result in there being MORE of what IS Mexico. Before too long 5% or more of the Canadian population would be comprised of ILLEGAL ALIENS from Mexico.
Mexico is not a cesspool of corruption because of its location just south of the United States. Mexico is a cesspool of governmental and corporate corruption as well as societal violence because of the CHARACTER and MORALS of the people who inhabit the region. Mexico is NOT the victim of bad location it is a victim of bad population.

ACTUALLY I have LIVED in Mexico City, Mexico and did so for nearly a year while my husband worked with Petróleos Mexicanos(PEMEX), Mexico's state-owned, nationalized petroleum company, determining who was at fault for the explosion at a refinery that resulted in the deaths of 41 workers, millions of dollars in damage and lost production. When it was becoming evident that it was indeed the fault of PEMEX not Gasoducto the operator of the refinery, PEMEX aka the Mexican government offered my husband a SUBSTANTIAL bribe of nearly a MILLION U.S. dollars as a bonus if the report cast PEMEX in a favourable light. Just for the record, my husband turned down the "bonus" and filed an HONEST and ACCURATE report.
During the time we lived in Mexico City we were offered NUMEROUS opportunities to improve whatever situation we were in if we were WILLING to pay a BRIBE or as it is COMMONLY called in Mexico "una mordedura pequeña" which translates to "a little bite."
There are hard working people EVERYWHERE who want a better life but when corruption is endemic in a SOCIETY it is such because corruption is TOLERATED by the society.
I do indeed speak from PERSONAL experience and perhaps a GREATER knowledge base than YOU.
