Wowza

There is a street in Dallas called Waggoner Drive. I really don't know much about it other than it seems to a little bit above Highland Park and well within the LBJ loop. This is a screenshot of a few random homes I got of Google Maps.

I was curious. Why? Because a lady was mugged in her garage on the street yesterday and her wedding ring was stolen. The value of that ring? $350,000.00

Edit: Channel 5 tracked down a duplicate:

My wife's ring cost about $200. When I bought it, I had about $250 to my name. Now, I could easily buy her anything far and above, but she doesn't want anything other than that $200 ring.

Regardless of HOW much it cost, THAT is one gaudy, tacky ring to be wearing during daylight hours.

Nothing but the ring was taken, no REAL injuries, no witnesses and no fingerprints; PERHAPS I am mistaken but does anyone else think there could be an insurance ISSUE/SCAM afoot?

amen anon 12:11 i'm the same way. my husband bought me my wedding ring almost 14 yrs. ago and it's probably worth not much, but it's the ring i was married with and i will not trade it or get rid of it! it means something to me. although that ring is beautiful, i would be afraid to wear it for that very reason...and not only that but they get hung on the toilet seat...hahaha

They'll be on the lookout for that down at 2K.

12:11 and 12:45, quit posting anonymously so you will realize that you are in fact husband and wife.

Congratulations 12:11...you found the one woman in the world that all men have been searching for.

Is it just me or do other people judge women who wear rings that big? Even if I had all the money in the world I would never wear anything that big or expensive. I would be afraid for my life and safety, much like this woman is now.

Possibly an insurance scam. Probably one of those fake rocks just "valued" that big so she could lose it. Or maybe she really had a ring like that, then had a copy made so she could have insurance money and the rock, too.

I don't think it was an insurance scam... I think someone needed a bigger earring...located it...and it's being reset as we speak.
