WCSO Press Release

Decatur Man Arrested for Aggravated Assault and Aggravated Kidnapping Wise County Deputies, Sgt Randy Eyster and Deputy Mark Adams arrested Robert P Wolf of Decatur this morning June 6, 2007 at his home on Greenwood Rd, Decatur. Robert Wolf was arrested on charges of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon and Aggravated Kidnapping. Robert Wolf had fired a shotgun at three area teenage boys. The boys said Wolf had chased them, saying they had trespassed on the property. Wolf had threatened the boys that he would shoot them if they did not stop. One of the boys did stop and Wolf made him get into the vehicle and would not let him out until the officers arrived on scene. An offense report for these charges was taken. Wise County Investigator Chase Nolen requesting arrest warrants for Robert P Wolf. Wolf has been arraigned on these charges and a bond of $ 520,000.00 was set for both charges. On June 5th, 2007, the Wise County Sheriff’s Deputies had responded to a disturbance call at Robert Wolf’s Residence at Greenwood Rd. The female victim was physically assaulted by Robert Wolf and held at gunpoint for a while against her will. Then Wolf left the residence. The victim was taken to the Wise Regional Health System Hospital for the injuries she received when Wolf assaulted her. Warrants are pending on these charges. Sgt Debbie Denney I'm glad they through that next to last paragraph in there. The first part of the press release just sounded like a "You kids! Get off my property!" kind of story.

Story was very poorly written and communicated.

How does bond work, anyway? I've seen rape, killing, sex with babies and other stuff come in way under the half million this guy gets for running off trespassers. I remember a guy that had about ten or fifteen images of kids on his work computer that forensics determined were loaded by a virus due to surfing in generally risky ("Sexy Babes" type stuff) but not illegal areas, and had absolutely nothing found at his home either on a computer or stored otherwise (where you would definitely expect to find stuff if the guy was a serious perv), and got a bail of $2 million. He never left jail, lost his job, house, everything and is doing ten years. Others, with thousands of child porn images on their computers and stashed in their closets and trucks, I've seen have bail of $50,000, even less; not to mention get probation or otherwise some level of immediate freedom. What the heck determines all that? Would this guy's bail have been less if he had shot and killed one of them? It's meant to be a genuine question, hoping there's an expert out there on this stuff.

Who the hell has NOT been shot at for trespassin' in Wise County? If you haven't, then you should get out of your house more often.

Come on, Bridgeport/Baylor brain-trust boy. "I'm glad they through that next to last paragraph in there." It's THREW, not Through. What a moron.

You guys are leaving out the part where he "pistol whipped his girlfriend." This is not just a story on a man who shot at a couple of teenagers and held them against their will. If you knew the whole story you would understand.
