The boys on The Ticket were talking about time capsules this morning.
I'm pretty sure that I remember one being buried in Bridgeport in 1973ish during the centennial celebration. I was a kid and I recall my mom telling me to donate something to it. I didn't. And I think it was going to be opened in fifty years, but I'm not sure.
I wonder if there are any others in the county.

I know that there is one in Decatur because there is a marker by the Courthouse denoting it.
There is one at City Hall in Runaway Bay. I don't remember the year it was put in though.
Oklahoma is celebrating its centennial this year, so there's a lot of that going on. A brand new 1957 car was buried in Tulsa (50 years ago) and they are digging it up soon. Sounds boring.
I was the class of 2000 and we made one when we were in kindergarten and opened it in May 2000. It was pretty cool.
