There are gangs in Decatur, and at the schools. Not unlike most other similar Hispanic-based towns.

News Flash! I work with several hispanics and blacks and I have nothing but respect for them, as they do me. You should hear the way they joke about individuals in their own race as well as, in our race. Get a grip.
If there are gangs....they are wannabe's. When I went to school in Boyd there was some kids who said they were in a gang...we just laughed at them and beat them up behind Allsup's.

There are kids that have moved from the metro area into our schools that have gang ties and wear their "colors" in the open. I know it for a fact. Take it from an LEO that worked in the metroplex for 10 years before coming here. They are here. Seen em.

I was at the Decatur game tonight and the only gangs I saw were the Police huddled together and a bunch of guys on the football field kicking some Sanger ass.
