Fred Head proves the point that if he MUST dish the dirt of his opposition then there really is NOT much good to be said about Fred Head.
The sad state of politics is that the BEST most candidates can do when it comes to garnering votes is to claim they are NOT as bad as their opponent.
He reminds me of Zombo from one of the Munster's episodes. Creepy? Yes. Susan - soft core porn? Yes. I wonder how many evangelicals have her book. Is there an alternative candidate? Both of these seem like career politicians to me.
PORNOGRAPHY is definitely the lightning rod term of our day. It has completely permeated politics, religion and divorce court. So why don't we eliminate it from our society -- Oh I remember now, our forefathers wrote the constitution to protect our ability to see an 18 year old girl laying naked with her feet behind her ears and then God provided the ACLU to make sure we get what our forefathers intended. Our selfishness and immorality will be the downfall of our nation. Money and lawyers will be the path taken to ensure that destruction. We should shut down all the pornography in our nation. By the way, I am a guy who is as tempted by pornagraphy as anyone else. When will we educate ourselves on this destruction.

Anon 12:21 - do you lump guys like Foley in with the PORNOGRAPHY statement? Or, does the term HOMOSEXUAL stand out; in reference to him and many others in the Gay Cabal the Republicans are having such a hard time hiding these days?
Sad fact of the matter, folks, is that we have become so judgmental about past histories of candidates, that we are fast running out of anyone who isn't deserving of some shiate slinging. Or, if there were one shining, unblemished star with the guts to run for any office, they would be considered SO BORING, who would dare vote for them? That sadly reminds me of Al Gore. Not that Al was unblemished by any means, but I hope you all get what I am saying.
My current mantra: Vote the career politicians out of office, regardless of affiliation, unless they can prove to me they are deserving of the office in which they serve.
Fred looks like a TV Evangelist, especially the fake smile and slick hair.
I don't know much about politics like ya'll seem to, I do know one thing though. Them pages I just read in that book made me hornier than a two peckered billy goat !
mzchief - good points - however, a person who is well known in a community has a pretty good chance of being elected, if he or she has been a person who persevered in a job, whatever that was, and was honest in it.
What do we know about state and national candidates other than tv ads and newspaper articles that give us an opinion that money has bought?
Your last paragraph says it best. We just go into the voting booth and vote for the best of the worst.

the POINT of the soft porn book is that Mrs. Combs is supposed to represent family values. irony alert!
Isn't he a pornographer for posting the porno on his site. He's a pornographer-by-association. I hate attack campaigns. I wish everyone would just campaign on how great they are, not on how much of a devil their opponnent is, for both parties. It's sickening.
By the way, where's this 18 year old girl with her legs behind her head?
