I Don't Know Why I Love Moments Like This So Much

So Mike Synder is beating me down tonight on the 10:00 p.m. newscast. He introduces a story about some Watuaga police officer named Jason Reddick who had (briefly) got his job back after posting inappropriate pictures on MySpace.com. But for some reason, NBC 5 shows me a picture of rookie NBA player Jonathan Clay "J.J." Redick. KXAS is comical. Edit: OMG! Mike Synder comes back later to apologize for the error and the whole thing gets worse. YouTube.clip of the whole incident is here. I love this stuff.

I usually watch Fox 4, but had to watch Channel 5 because of baseball. It was HORRIBLE!

I used to like Mike - not any more, for a long time. He's too fat. Jane - she's a drone. How many names has she had? When I watch them, I always think about that SNL skit when the teleprompters went down, and they resorted to cannibalism.

Let's make up our own fantasy news/weather/sports anchors out of the ones from the Metroplex area channels.

Mine would be:

Steve Egar - he's cute
Karen Borta (sp?) - she's pretty
David Finfrock - the only reason I watch channel 5 - I news-hop! Geezzzz, Harold Taft - I wish you weren't dead.
Babe for sports; Newey (sp?) second.

Reporters:
Hmmmmm......I have to think about them. Becky Oliver maybe? She's funny-lookin' tho.

Ya'll's turn, if ya dare.

I ignored this post since news gaffes are boring, but it was posted on the Observer's site and NetNewsWire automatically downloaded the video. You really put two fills in the video? That is the lamest move in history. If you have to explain the joke it wasn't funny to begin with. Put down your copy of Windows Movie Maker and lash your fingers 40 times for creating this atrocity.
