Friday Night Lights

The TV show by that name looks pretty good (I've spent a few minutes with it), but I'm afraid it won't be around for long. The households in DFW viewing it and its competition from Tuesday: Friday Night Lights: 73,700 homes Dancing with the Stars: 307,020 homes NCIS: 176,120 homes Gilmore Girls: 85,680 homes Source.

The show (which has received very high critical praise but unfortunately has not found an audience) just got picked up for the full season, a 22 script order. (This info is via www.hollywoodreporter.com). The show is authentic, great cast, true to life (with an albeit dramatic slant), shows what the kids and coaches go through in order to be successful.

Dancing with the Stars!! This country is crazy if that kind of tripe is what measures succes.

Anon 5:57, I hope you don't think that is authentic.

Amen 9:01--the absolute GLUT of "reality shows" on TV illustrates the low point to which our country has sunk in tastes for "entertainment"!! "Tripe" is putting it nicely.

I know nothing about the show but by the picture Barry posted, it certainly has some eye candy value.

I've really enjoyed the show. I feel once Dancing With The Stars is over for the season & men stand up to their women & tell them "We want the remote", then the numbers might pick up.
