Can anyone else predict this stock's next five years of return? It's the law of gravity.Love the title of this blog.
Who cares, I am just glad I bought 500 shares of Google stock when they initiated their IPO. Best move I have ever made in my life.
You bought 500 shares? What was the stock price after the IPO?
Yes I bought 500 shares, they were at $85 a share when I bought them- two days before it went to the trading floor. Then that same day it spiked to $100.13 I believe.
I call BS.
Why do you call it BS? There are tons of people that have made money off of Google. Apparently this person has made some money off of them as well. Who cares. I invested in Yahoo when they came out and made some money, am I full of BS too?
Whoever you are shutup, there is no way you have 500 shares of Google stock. If you really do, I doubt very seriously you would be on BSG's board! You should be checking your stocks progress on your almost $50K investment right? Besides, if you really did invest in 500 shares of Google-you would be a freaking multi millionaire right now. That is what a 200% r.o.i?
11:53 - Check your math. If the guy invested in 500 shares at about $90 it cost $45,000. It would now be worth about $200,000 assuming he still holds all 500 shares. That's not bad but check with some of your local oil/gas field buddies. Many have done much better in the same time period.
Actually with compounding interest and depending on whether or not he/she constantly sells and buys back the stock. It is possible to make that $200K every year.
