I've Never Heard Of This Guy

But he is taking a beating today for the comment. As is the GOP's healthcare proposal.

Edit: Oh, my.

Sounds like a good plan. Why should I have to pay for their health care so they can have a phone?

Time to put the blame where it belongs, with the healthcare providers.

Hey, buddy, I was wondering how you would feel if the good citizens of Wise County banded together and destroyed a man's reputation because they did not like his politics or his religion or maybe his haircut? Would you care? Would you tolerate it? Are you a champion for the truth?

Shocking you've never heard of Jason Chaffetz. You need to pull your head out of where ever it is and actually start paying attention

If you have never heard of Chaffetz then I'm beginning to question your thoughts on our government.

Wrong. It's lawyers and the government's fault.

If you smoke, drink, jump out of airplanes, race motorcycles, eat poorly, do drugs, live promiscuously, etc, Nobody owes you health care. I'll be glad to pay for your health care if you agree to live 100% by my rules. I ain't asking anybody to pay for mine.

They don't need no stinking cell phone

You would think he said people would have to give up a kidney. I think we have all been in line at the store where someone is using food stamps but yet they have their nails done, hair done, well dressed and an expensive ass phone with them.

It's time to actually regulate insurers and drug companies. They are the ones charging the outrageous premiums and selling drugs at rates 20 times higher than they should be. All to make a quick buck. It's all about greed!

Jason Chaffetz is pretty popular or unpopular lately, he held a town hall where the audience just went nuts. Republican constituents were deriding him for wanting to repeal the ACA with no real replacement. He is the House Oversight Committee which is supposed to investigate misdoings, but he does nothing to investigate his own party. Shame!

I already posted the link on youtube where Obama basically said this exact thing. Why didn't you post it? Doesn't go along with your spin?

What kills me about everyone against a single payer system is they're too damn dumb to realize they're paying for it anyway. You think the insurance companies are going to let their profits shrink?

Do you get healthcare through your employer at a reasonable cost for you and your family? Well, guess what, dipshit, YOU ARE ALREADY IN A SOCIALIZED PLAN. The only way costs are kept down is by grouping people together. All that the big-scary-European-socialist-Kenyan healthcare plan is is making the pool everyone in the country, not just your coworkers. At a basic level, it really is that simple. Try to keep up.

100% agree, I have no count people in my family, go to doctor for 10 bucks. Run to emergency room at least once a month for any small ailment.

If you have a job and are part of the middle class, your insurance has an insane deductible to match first.

These same people, have immaculate nails, iPhones, unlimited plans, Cable/Satellite TV, get different cars every 3-4 months from buy here pay here places. Living the life, expect everyone else to pay for it.

Barry can't see the big picture and he's not very intelligent.

In a lengthy answer, Obama speculated about someone making $40,000-$50,000 a year, who thinks an insurance option that costs $300 a month is too much.

“I guess what I would say is if you looked at that person’s budget and you looked at their cable bill, their telephone … cell phone bill, other things that they’re spending on, it may turn out that they just haven’t prioritized health care because right now everybody is healthy," he said.

Obama says same thing, nobody cares.

People who work for the Fed Government and especially the US Congress have excellent health insurance that is mostly paid for by us taxpayers. If they got the same health care choices at the prices we have to pay, then they might have a different attitude about what it costs.

He is talking about where their priorities are.

I still remember going on a mission trip with our church to New Orleans. We were talking with the people at the mission and asking them about how everyone had nice cars and clothing. They told us that the people's priorities were making sure that they had a nice car to drive and had the nicest clothing, even though they might not have any food in their refrigerator to eat.

Barry,

He is the Chairman of the House Oversight Committee, how can you not know who he is?

As Chair of the Oversight Committee, over 40 secret service agents got caught "tapping"into his personal files in violation of federal law.
While the Oversight Committee was investigating the secret service hooker scandal.
All happened on Obama's watch.

Just like the IRS targeting conservative groups.
All happened on Obama's watch.

And you really think Obama would not "tap" into U S citizens private communications within Trump Tower?

Give me a break.

TRUMP!!!

Ok maybe, but wife was in for out patient procedure, total of about 10 hours and bill to
Insurance was 56K. If uninsured bill would have been 160K. If that's the lawyers and the government's fault it's time for torches and pitchforks.

Geeding takes a shot at Green. That's hilarious. Make a comment critical of Geeding and you're BANNED! Banned, I tell you.

Oh! The irony.

1:27 Actually time to put a blame where is belongs....

Insurance companies who are using Obamacare to get rich with high deductibles and high rates and low coverage.

8 years ago no one paid this kind of money for health insurance.... nothing has gone up this dramatically in the health care industry, yet rates have sky rocketed. Insurances have cut re-imbursement under the "managed care" tag line.

Guaranteed.... go look at the health insurance industry and they are making more money than they ever have.

Of course Obama was saying this to the middle class who have jobs! Chaffetz is saying it to those who sit home and do nothing except cash government checks and work the system. See the difference?

857 - When an area has a boom, whether oil, gold, silver, or some other place where money's to be made, saloons and brothels are among the first to move in. "Go where the money is" is neither good nor bad, it's simply a fact of life. That insurance companies take advantage of Obamacare is not a fault, it's Smith's "invisible hand" working, as they operate in self interest. Their profits are a result, not a cause.

Democrats made those conditions possible. Democrats are responsible for the higher premiums, higher deductibles, and lack of coverage that many Americans face. (Read "Sorry, we don't take Obamacare." NY Times, May 14, 2016) and physicians leaving medicine. Most Americans have fewer choices and less control of their own health care, thanks to Democrats. As they squirm to avoid blame, remember that Democrats inflicted Obamacare on Americans all on their own, without a single Republican vote.
