It's Easter

Turned on the TV to see a production of Fake Jesus being beaten by two big guys dressed in black while a guy sings a hip hop song.

Elevate Life Church is in Frisco. The pastor has appeared in a couple of advertisements during Joel Osteen's show (with Joel Osteen endorsing him).  I presume Osteen is paid for that.

The term "elevate life" can appeal to many people.

Christians live to elevate life after death. Not this worldly one where materials rule.

We visited there once, and felt like cattle being herded from place to place. Our minivan didn't fit in with the BMWs, Mercedes, Aston Martins, and Maseratis in the parking lot.

Senior pastor and founder of Gateway Church, Robert Morris, claims to hold a doctorate of literature. Some might say that his pants are on fire.

11:17, you obviously did not. The parking lot is not full of six figure cars. Sorry. Nice try.

Easter is pagan. I think it has something to do with a goddess named Easter, fertility, rabbits and chickens.

When I read the Bible I read of the Lamb of God, the Passover, and God's lamb being killed on the Day of Preparation. I see no mention of the Goddess Easter!

There are thousands of services and millions of Christians doing the right thing each day and week.

Those that lust for the world focus on this type nonsense.

Joel O endorsing this sounds about right.

I think I will stick to traditional, simple, less animated Catholic mass services.

I thought it was another Van Halen concert performance.

2:45,

Believe what you will, but I know what I saw. This was about 4-5 years ago, while they were still raising funding to build the big tower "to be a beacon that all of Frisco can see." Maybe they just parked us in the rich folks' section, but that's what we were surrounded by.

I choose to practice my religion in private. Those that choose to practice in public appear to be in it for the wrong reason. I believe my religion is between me and my God. Perhaps more should do the same.
