Lubbock Journal This Morning

Next playoff game this afternoon. I keep telling the metroplex media, with the Cuban connection and with absolutely no history of basketball success, there's a story here.

And I have no idea it this link works from Facebook, but here's a dunk from last night.

I agree there is a story here. I think they are waiting to see how things turn out this season and next season to see how story ends.

The flower mound rebels made it state. Bridgeport as we all know would not win anything without transfers. Let's home the teams leaves the drugs behind. What a pathetic excuse for win at all costs. The coach us a joke and should be ashamed of himself.

How about them Eagles!!!

I have never heard as much crying and jealously as classless and immature Decatur fans are. First boys team to go to state since the 50's in the county. You would love to have these boys wearing blue and white!

Kids move into new schools every year and no one cares at all...why should this be any different. They looked around and decided where they wanted to live and go to school. I would do the same thing if I was going to a new area. Schools would be first priority.

Decatur is just pissed that they didn't enroll at decatur.

What about the suspension WHY was it so short? this seems to be a pattern for Bridgeport if I remember right the same thing for football hum! If you don't have the move in both teams would still be a mediocre

I'm not from Decatur but cheered for the girls volleyball to win state. I'm not from Bridgeport but I wish these boys luck at state. Everyone in the area should support them.

This well-written comment stands on its own merit. Who wants to claim it? Decatur loyalists? Bridgeport parents of once-a-starter-now-bench-warmer basketball players? Pathetic loser whose solution to his pathetic life is to drag others down? Man up and claim it you pathetic pile.

I think I would speak for every real basketball fan that lives in this county. These boys are exciting to watch! Maybe they are not home grown athletes but they are great young men with great talent. The Bridgeport coach had nothing to do with them coming here. He just found himself in the right place at the right time. He has done a great job coaching these boys to state. I would bet they would tell you the same.

Captain of the Bulls BB team has lived here his whole life.

I also was so happy for the LEVB team when they won back to back championships! And Decatur XC kicks butt! Just because I am a Bull fan, I am not supposed to support the KIDS from another town/team when they succeed? BS!! These are kids we are talking about! Way to go!! Happy for them all!

Power lifters from both schools also made it to State. Congtatulations to them!

No reason we can't support each other when teams succeed in making it big.

Go Bulls! All the way!

I agree the BP coach is a good guy, but we all know who did a good job coaching these boys. It was Brad Chasteen who is highly paid by Neal Hawks to coach the boys. They are just using Bridgeport as a stepping stone.

It doesn't matter who coaches these boys. They are playing in the state championship. Is it that hard to support the Bulls?

What happened?

Go Bulls!!!

please explain the difference in being paid by Neal Hawks VS your child playing select ball and you having to pay the select coach? ITS THE EXACT SAME THING!
Thank you,
Select volleyball coach you paid
