Random Tuesday Morning Thoughts

  • Why in the world do people pay that much money to go to Cowboys Stadium to watch that?
  • I'm surprised Dez Bryant can remember which route to take home.
  • Is ABC color commentary guy Jon Gruden on crack? He kept bouncing off the walls last night and at one point went to bizarre references to the Outlaw Josey Wales. (Which is kind of odd because I mentioned that movie out of the blue about three weeks ago.)
  • The defendant on trial for the murder of the Arlington pastor going on right now is wearing shackles. They better make sure the jury doesn't see them or that's a good way to have to do it all over again.
  • I watched the 20/20 episode on Friday about the Mansfield school teacher.  I was struck by the prosecutor who seemed to think this was the crime of the century.
  • Dallas night club "Hey, nows"
  • Well, your Texas Rangers have to win one of the next two games against Oakland to avoid the one game wildcard playoff. That would be an epic meltdown.
  • Unless something weird happens, I've got oral arguments at the Fort Worth Court of Appeals this afternoon. Hate doing that.
  • The Right Wing is in the weird "Don't believe the polls!" mode right now. It's like they are trying to convince themselves.
  • Weird things are happening at American Airlines, but if one of its planes were to go down right now, we'd never see the AA logo again.
  • I think the housing bust is over.
  • Does anyone believe Ranger pitcher Derek Holland that his twitter account was hacked moments after he was pulled from the game Sunday night? A gay slur was posted. That guy is 100% knucklehead.
  • What did happened to the 29 year old from Boyd listed in the Update?
  • Last spring I quoted this sentence: "When tomorrow comes, this day will be gone forever, leaving something in its place I have traded for it."  I just loved the concept of how we make a choice to trade a day of our lives for something else. It came from this story about the relationship between former Alabama coach Bear Bryant and his driver. A driver who died yesterday.

Saw the 29 yr old obit in the Star Telegram. He was a sous chef...what is that? He was not on the Tarrant County Medical Exam site. I think he might have been on hospice with an illness at home, so with a nurse there no autopsy was necessary...29 is a bit young to go, hope he was ready.

"What did happened to the 29 year old from Boyd listed in the Update?"

He died.

Right now, the right wing has no logical reason to believe the polls. Look at the internals. Democrats are being over sampled in large margins, all on the premise that HUGE numbers of traditionally Democratic constituencies are going to turn out as they did (and ONLY did) in 2008.

In fact, other data strongly suggests enthusiasm among those groups this year isn't all that high......while conservative enthusiasm to get Obama out is off the charts.

Don't believe those polls!

You might want to check the polls this morning. It is going to be painful watching President Obama try to defend his record tomorrow night.

I have long wondered where you found your RT girls, but I know where this picture came from. It's in the dictionary next to the definition of butterface.

Dang! The first hey now, Misty Romano, is the best babe you have ever had on here. She looks like she'd be good for some great google stalkin'.

8:46, a sous chef is an assistant to the chef.

Oh my. One of the jurors in the murder trial nodded off during testimony of the victim's husband, and was seen with their eyes closed several times in the afternoon.

How's that third party contract China maintenance working out for you passengers that always run your mouth on here? Bet now that your travel plans are in the crapper, that you wish the "lazy union hacks" still had their jobs at the Alliance base.

"...leaving something in its place I have traded for it."
Figures that a lawyer would be obsessed with trading time for...something else
The concept of trading yesterday for, what...presumably today? Sounds like a pile of existential/New Age-y, mumbo-jumbo cowflop

@9:17, No.... My travel plans are just fine.

And I really don't care.

Lazy union hacks have only greedy union leaders to blame.

My travel plans are just fine

9:17 AM...

I remedied my vacation plans by simply switching to Southwest. They still know how to treat passengers, AND actually turn a profit.

☞ The Star-Telegram's paywall is up and running. Disabling Javascript in your browser usually solves that issue unless you want to comment on an article.

☞ This Cowboy squad is the last one I will care about. I really like Romo, Witten, Ware, and those guys, but I find myself just not caring all that much anymore.

☛ Disregard my last on the paywall. Maybe you just need to clear your browser and cache. A paywall did pop uo last night for me.

What if no one notices the Star-Telegram paywall? How sad would that be?

Something to think about: A recent poll shows that more people (42%) believe the polls are being manipulated to benefit Obama than don't (40%).

8:46. What does " hope he was ready" mean?

Anonymous said...

Ready for heaven..you have asked forgiveness for your sins and accepted Jesus as your savior.

I just love religion. Let's talk religion...

Jackal nobody in their right mind would believe those polls. Especially ones where the pollsters are left leaning. Anybody rooting for the left is corrupt as the day long.

9:17 you are too dumb for words and I bet you are a lefty.

Union employees messed with those seats. Straight up.

Beyond the first two, I'm not sure what you're calling Dallas Night Club "Hey, nows". Waste of 19 clicks...

"I think the housing bust is over."

Remember this prediction. Keep it in your journal of predictions. I appreciate your optimism, but I believe reality will trump it...

My prediction is exactly opposite since we have yet to see all the redistribution take place in the upcoming years. America has yet to see the worst days of unemployment, housing busts, homeless, violence crime and poverty; but it's a comin...

LOL at 9:30. Southwest is the most heavily unionized carrier.

Anonymous said...

9:32 and 9:30 don't have a clue. SWA has more union employees that AA ever dreamed of. The difference is the people are treated better.

Biden:Middle Class has been buried the last four years...but Romney sucks.

10:54, those mechanics took the buyout. They couldnt have messed with them, no heavy overhaul left for them to do.

Forget the Union employees, no more non union engineers with degrees from Embry-Riddle working those planes, only foreigners who do not speak English now. Those Republican, Union, Southlake thugs are ruining everything.

The left leaning media's refusal to ask Obama substantial questions about his policies aka failures/corruption is the same way a defense attorney doesn't ask his client if he committed the crime he's being accused of.

Outsource Wise County. Let the Primo'd day workers take over. Who needs jobs at NRS, James Woods, Fuzzy's, and Subway anyway?

you said it. WOW what a body. It looks like she had a face transplant and went terribly wrong.

Anonymous said...

Me and my company still fly AA.

And still use it for vacations as well.

I don't give two you know whats if the mgmt treats unions bad or unions are spoiled brats.

We fly it cause it goes where we want it to. And we understand exactly what commercial airlines offer as a passenger experience, (and more importantly what they do not.)

Signed, not a DYKWIA on a plane.

Anonymous said...

I beleive the records show the outsourse people did'nt install the seats .Likely a setup by the union pricks to make it look bad.

Anonymous said...

9:36, that's why they are BK!!!

Anonymous said...

If I was losing my job along with thousands of my coworkers, there would not even be an engine on the plane. Let management install it.
