It was a picture of cops in Waco "raiding" an 8-liners joint. SWAT team just might be a tad bit on the side of overkill.

Don't they look like quite the special forces. One never knows when one might need full battle rattle and an armoured assault vehicle to take down an 8-liner. Guess they've got to roll out the Homeland Security largesse every now and then.
Poor SWAT team, they don't get much action since the Seventh Day Adventists calmed their shit down. Don't they have negros and mexicans they can harass?
Law enforcement has been indoctrinated into the "militia mentality" so as to protect citizens and comrades in arms, all under the guise of Homeland security.
It won't take long for the American public to accept and embrace it as standard operating procedure.
Soon SWAT teams across America will be present when eviction notices are served...
SWAT teams may be related to the DPS trooper who was working 51 and 287 Friday night. Pulling "anonymous" over for driving with high beams - really....! There were at least 2 others we know of that were stopped by the same trooper.
Seems some folks don't have any idea how a raid - or the SWAT team - works. It's not like these guys were just sitting around and thought it would be fun to tag along. Part of their job description includes conducting raids.
What's the point of staging a raid if the place didn't burn down, and no (former) Seventh Day Adventists perished?
Eviction notices are very dangerous. Many officers each year are hurt or killed serving eviction papers. I think 1 or 2 were killed in College Station not long ago.
It pains me to see that we seem to be turning into a police state (and no, yokels, I'm not talking about Obama turning loose UN troops on Lubbock). When did it become acceptable to have police running around in military get-ups intimidating the sh*t out of people? Whack the bad guys and whack 'em hard, I say, but the attitudes of most cops these days seems to be "everybody is a potential terrorist and I've got to strut around like Billy Effing Badass." Calm your sh*t down and stop harassing the rest of us.
Good thing Anti police Barry is a lawyer. He enjoys sitting in a courtroom knowing that if one of his guilty defendants start going karaazzy, the Police will help protect him too. He as well as most others couldn't walk a day in a cops shoes.

Better get used to it. Our current administration will resort to this as often as they can.
Seventh Day Adventists

If you pick up Hookers at Loves, you risk the wrath of SWAT!

You have to be careful of those little old ladies with rolls of quarters in their hands. Very dangerous!

You can say that again.
those are not rolls of quarters, they are $5 dollar bills..
the gambling industry will not stand for 8 liners in texas.

Girly queermen. I'd hate to see what goes on behind the closed doors of their SWAT Moblie.
Eeew.
I didn't know SWAT body armor came in a portly size. Live & learn.

Practice makes perfect dumbass.
I was thinking the same thing 1:58
I've seen many a court room swarming with lawyers, in a manner that I thought was a tad bit of overkill.
Just saying,
