I really appreciate all that Mark Moran has done for the square. He is the one that talked Fuzzy's into changing their paint scheme. Then he researched compatible colors for the square. Now if only we could get native Decatur people interested in the square.
11:26-You have no idea what you're talking about. Mark is responsible for the toned down colors. Main Street griped, but Mark got it done. He owns the building. He paid for the new paint.
Mr. Moran is responsible for most of the updates seen around the square. He now owns most of the buildings and has poured money into updating them inside and out. He believes the Decatur square has a great future and he is working to make that happen. If you are not from/in Decatur, you probably hate that. Those who are a part of Decatur, past-present-future, should thank the man for his time, commitment, and investment in keeping our square from becoming "ghostly!" I can say this: before Mr. Moran came to town, the stores were empty and downtown was becoming non-existent!
Thank you, Mark Moran, for your investments in this community and thank you for keeping our square classy!
The square is cool if you live in a "Leave it to Beaver" world. In reality, it sucks. It has crappy parking and even the people who promote it would rather have you eat at Greenwood, and I don't blame them! If you complain on the blog, it will get noticed in Decatur. Moran repainted it, sure, but the real hero, Barry Green, got the ball rolling, and now it doesn't look like a Boyd Yellowjacket field house.
The square in Decatur is in an "historical district" therefore it will continue to be painted in classy colors. Maybe you need to grow up and understand.

primer maybe?
I saw that - it is MUCH better! The inside is still bright which is fine but we don't need to be assaulted every time we went by.
I love Fuzzy's and I know that's their normal paint scheme but it was a bit loud for the square.

Feta cheese still has not place in, on or near a taco.
I liked the yellow. With my declining eyesight, it made it easy to spot,
My Other Brother Darryl
Two buildings in downtown Bridgeport are painted yellow.
Ugly and gaudy.
Verdi e blanco es muy bueno, si? Su espousa es mucho grande! Azul con amarillo es dos pistolas.
Thats a great story 9:58 tell it again
Who is Mark Moran??
12:50, He's an ol' desperado who paints the town biege!
Yea, what 12:36 said.
Barry, I believe you're a bit behind! This paint change happened a week or two ago. Old news! lol!
Land of the free and home of the "Hey, you can't paint it that color!"
Moran didnt have crap to do with it. If you complain on the blog and belittle the Main St crew, then things will get done.
Even Decatur people are too smart to do business on the square. They go to Greenwood to eat fish!
Mark is good for Decatur.... Unlike the Board for youth baseball

That is not their colors but guess if they want to be here they have to do what they are told....

11:36, You missed the whole point!

LMAO @ 9:39! It is so Historical that even the people who promote it invite others to Greenwood, where the real food that tastes good is!
WHAT IS WRONG WITH PROMOTING THE GOOD FOOD IN GREENWOOD???????
Must the director never say anything good about any place other than the Decatur square?
Lordy people; GROW UP!!!
