Yes! It's been out since at least 8:00 this morning. CenturyLink gave me an estimated time of 6pm for it to be fixed.
Since when did bridgeport have internet access? Can't believe that beat plumbing.
Just another Saturday afternoon in downtown Bridgeport.
the problem started last night around 6pm.
Century Link is TERRIBLLLLLLLLLLLEEEE!
Why would you ask if the internet is down by using the internet to communcate the question?
did somebody say Pussy Riot..?
If you think you have it bad, always remember, you could be in Rhome.
Duh, for those that have internet on their phones...
we are back in 'chains'
It's nice to see they finally got rid of all those damn stop signs downtown.
Yes, and we are told the problem is a cable cut in Palo Pinto County. Palo Pinto County? WTF
Oh look...Even way back then Democrats were standing outside the welfare office begging while the Republicans were out working.
12:59pmAll those stop signs are still there.
I live in Decatur, so I didn't have internet trouble today and I rarely do. But what about cell phone reception? Is anyone else having trouble with AT&T? It's HORRIBLE!!!!
AT&T Always Trouble Talking
1:54Not in this pic. Not a single stop sign in sight, just the way it should be.You must need knew glasses...
On chat with Century Link this week, I was told my area is not due any upgrades for YEARS...that's near the new Weatherford College campus. Ordered a MiFi that works on Sprint's 3G network. Can't be worse than download speed of around 340K and upload speeds of around 9K (yes, nine). Dial-up was faster than my DSL.ATT -- oh my...at least they swap towers around now and then...
I think Bridgeport Cleaners still has the same dry cleaning solution in their machines. Stanky clothes maker!
I love my centurylink in Decatur.
I'm trying to figure out the angle here in the pic. I think this is looking west on Halsell based on the shadows and buildings. I'm thinking it was taken in the late morning. is the first building on the left now Sarah Jane's Flower Shop?
6:02, my thoughts exactly. Very cool pic. I bet 2123 was just cattle trail back then. Are those model T's?
No, I think that is looking back east, up Halsell. The old First National Bank/Bridgeport Index Building is on the left, and that would be 10th street just in front
No Internet on CR 4659, Rhome.
My cows don't have internet ether
I've been complaining to centurylink for months now about slow dial up speeds when I pay for high speed in Bridgeport! Bandwidth exhaustion they say!! After being on the phone for the thousandth time and getting a credit on my account for services not provided I was told that the new upgrades were due to be installed by Aug 28th!! I've heard this story before!! Everyone needs to call centurylink and complain!
century link always sux.when I asked about it they said they had over sold their system and they were upgrading it.Still waiting.
Nothing special day in the Bridgeport photo;just a saturday and people came to visit.Stores stayed open till nearly midnight. No autos were robbed or keyed either.I remember wishing I could go to town on saturday but little kids stayed home with someone to watch them.
Got rid of Century link a year ago. Life has been better ever since! Best decision I ever made.
Yeah, what is up with AT&T reception?Anyone know?
@2;36, yes at&t has sucked going on a few months now around decatur ! Took that phone all the way to florida and it worked way out in the boonies of l LA, AL, FL but not here!! I would love to hear the real reason why that is instead of the rhetoric that they just suck! It worked great for the last year or two now, not so much!
It can't be looking east, the shadows are wrong. If we are looking east in this pic, the sun would have to be to the north, which doesn't happen.
I think Honcho is right. I wonder what was going on that day to have so many people in town? Haven't seen crowds like that in a while.
7:47If you are looking east on Halsell, then the sun is behind you, over your left shoulder. Just where it should be on a Saturday late afternoon. That is deffinately the old bank/Index building. Look at the trin on the top.
No. It's looking west. In north Texas the sun is NEVER in a position to cast a shadow that's laying south of a building. While the sun moves east to west the shadows it causes always are to the north of the buildings.So.....kids, that's looking west just before the hill.Terra Cotta building is just out of site on the left.
1:30I concur. If you go to google maps and find the intersection of 10th and Halsell and select street view, you will see all the shadows point almost due north. If you go to the corner of 11th and Halsell and look west, the shadows match up.You will also notice all the people in the old picture have coats on, indicating it was not taken in the summer. I wish I could read the sign on the post in the left-front forground.
1:30 and 1:52 are correct.Really cool picture.
