- Wrong way driver on the Dallas tollway last night. It ended in a head on collision with both driver's being arrested.
- That 3-0 Cowboys game last night was brutal, but I couldn't believe ESPN's Mike Tirico threw it to halftime with, "That was 90 minutes of your life you'll never get back." He's right, I just can't believe he said it.
- Nakedness!: Last week it was Randy Travis and now some MMA fighter named Mayhem Miller was arrested after being found naked in a church. Now some 25 year old guy in Grapevine decided to go strolling around in the buff on Sunday.
- One of the Kids in the House is playing select softball this fall. I saw the schedule this morning. Man, that looks like a beating -- I kept seeing "at least four games guaranteed" on weekends.
- Buy a tent?
- I know the new Batman movie has a character named "Bane" or "Bain" in it, and I swear I dreamed/dreamt last night that I was in that movie with Mitt Romney and a plot that kept referencing Bain Capital. So odd.
- I tried to kick an extra point barefooted last weekend while Mrs. LL was the holder. I'm lucky I didn't break my toe.
- I heard on the radio this morning that Romney's selection of Paul Ryan as VP has "electrified the party." Might want to tap the brakes on that.
- If you didn't hate Ryan Lochte already, look at the shirt he's selling.
- C.J. Wilson is 0-5 with a 5.36 ERA and seven home runs allowed over his last eight starts.
- There were a lot of Aggie parents freaking out yesterday.

I'm not sure what qualifies as "electrifying" when it comes to politics, but Ryan impressed me when he thoroughly exposed Obamacare as fraudulent at the bipartisan summit. That's a good start.
I think Paul Ryan was the right choice at the right time. I'm still not excited about voting for Romney (I keep flashing back to my first vote in a Presidential Election - Bob Dole), but at least now there is someone on the ticket whose conservative bonafides are less questionable than those belonging to RINO from Massachusetts.
I was planning on voting Libertarian this go around, but if Ryan says the right things on the campaign trail I might change my vote now.

At minimum, buy one of those canopy tents to give you shade. You'll need the regular gear(cooler, chairs, weights to hold the canopy down in case the wind gets up) and rain gear.
If you want to go all out, get yourself a camper. You can have A/C, your own bathroom, shower, kitchen, fridge, TV and most importantly, a couch to take a nap on.

Ryan's proposals don't change Medicare for anyone over age 55. Next, read this article discussing myths surrounding Ryan's plan. Then read this article. The thread running throughout all the articles -- even the one you cited -- is that the Ryan proposal is not "slash and burn" or "extreme." Remember that when you hear Democrats try to describe it. I hate to destroy your argument with facts, but college transcipts are not considered public records, regardless of funding source.
Tell ya what, call the college you graduated from(you did graduate from college, right?) and ask them about it. You will be asked to identify yourself and pay a fee for copies. The questions you will be asked include your student ID number, birth date, when you attended the school and other questions to insure you are, in fact, you. You can request to have the copies mailed to you or sent to the educational institution of your choice.
And how do I know this, you may ask. I have worked in the Registrars office at a publicly funded institution of higher learning. Believe it or not, college transcripts are treated very much like the medical records of an individual.
I haven't researched every school Barry Obama attended, but I know he attended Columbia and Harvard for sure, and they are both privately funded institutions, so I really don't understand your argument.

320 I work for a company owned by Bain Capital for about 6 years now. Our company has had no lay offs, no jobs shipped overseas, and has in fact had a large investment fronted by Bain and the company has nearly quadrupled in size since Bain acquired the company which has approximately 2500 employees at this time. But I guess it's easier to stick your head in the sand and tout the liberal lines about how EVERY company purchased by Bain has been gutted, sold off, and shipped overseas. Wake up and educate yourself some about the business world. Sometimes some of those things are necessary to make a company viable. But I guess you would rather Bain never purchase a failing company and instead allow those companies to just close their doors. I for one am glad for the opportunities Bain has made possible for my company.

I have an experiment for you. I'm sure you know someone that went to college. Call the college they went to and ask for their transcripts. Since it's "public record" you should have no problem obtaining a copy.

825 - I agree with your basic point -- there's a difference between "a matter of public record" and "records that have been made public" -- but your example is flawed. Get a motivated, possibly high profile journalist to approach personnel in the records department of the appropriate university. When you find the right person with a need for ego gratification and with a political agenda, have the journalist ask for the records of a major politician. The "private records" will be released publicly at the appropriate time. The right combination of elements just hasn't been reached regarding Obama's records.
