This Can't Be Real, Can It?

Oh, but it is. DPS is launching their own little Navy with six boats at a cost of $580,000.

Insane.

That's chump change compared to what Obammy gave to his cronies at Solyndra.

I wonder what their jurisdiction is?

And Obammy even gave Iran a 10 million dollar drone to boot.

It's always easy to spend someone else's (the taxpayers) money.

Sad thing is they will still probably be out gunned. Give them what they need to defend themselves. nuff said!

Jurisdiction is any territorial waters of the State of Texas.

First mission is to patrol the borderline on falcon Lake...at night...with one little light showing on the stern.

Here kitty, kitty....

Is Bishop gonna have to pay to have that pickup repainted the way it was before he Barney-Fifed it out?

Far out!

Though I think I could outrun one of those on 287...

Bet the High Sheriff will have one of these to sit in the sallyport of the jail to keep the current $40,000 patrol boat company. We know it takes Joe Duty out on the lake several times a year for photo shoots.

I want to see a pic of the shad tank.

That's only $100,000 apiece.

The engines are probably $30,000 each.

My bass boat was $50,000.
This looks like a bargain. Where can I get one?

You know they bought this with grant money!

Like we are stupid enough not to realize our federal tax dollars funded the grant rather than our local tax dollars.

Maybe we are!!!!!!

Hey now, Runaway Bay had a super police boat "to rescue boaters" (yeh, sure). Don't know what happened to it after all the hoopla the chief went thru at a council meeting a couple years ago. Boat is now missing in inaction.

Decatur tards sure don't have much to do.

Anonymous said...

You can expect some boating while intoxicated clients coming your way Barry!!! Lol...

The price tag is on a per/each basis. Yes they are fund with grants from Gov. Perry and the Feds. Even with (FREE) money you pay for the gas, maintance and storage. Since when is the HIGHWAY on the water. By the way I think there is six on the way.

Thats 580,000.00 each fully equipped.

With your DPS (God's gift to law) parked in a fire lane & on sidewalk. COME ON MAN!! "stupid is what stupid does"
That truck would never pass DOT requirements with that load, there will need to be a Sgt. Rankin intervention.

Needs a sticker on the back that says "Messkins board from the rear when engine running".

We need something on the Rio Grande with speed and firepower. Don't think 6 boats is enough though...

Really like the twin M-60s with bullet shields. Wish I had one on my boat!
