1. I'll believe it when it happens and not before.

2. Now he needs to pull them out of everywhere else we sent them as well.

Translation:

Obama going down last minute checklist of unfulfilled campaign promises from 2008. Note to muslim extremists: New country ready for occupation as of the first of the year. Make plans to act now. No phased withdrawal to worry about. Check

Next on the list will be closing of Guantanamo. A little late (in terms of what he promised, but what else is new.) Note to self: Might want to avoid public places like schools, hospitals, churches, malls, stadiums, airports, freeways until January 2013. Check

9.1% unemployment. No prob jobs proposal will take care of that. Check

Change we can believe in. Check

A president that makes Jimmy Carter
look good in retrospect. Check

They are leaving a staff of 150 to manage arms. Why does it take 150 people to do that job?

All part of Obammy's political strategy for re-election. Promising troop withdrawal worked last time...why not use it again this time.

He has said it so much he's crying wolf at this point.

When it happens I'll believe it.

From Obama's speech: "Today, I can report that as promised, the rest of our troops in Iraq will come home from Iraq at the end of this year." What he neglected to mention was that the promise was made by President Bush in December of 2008. This timetable made possible by the Iraq Surge, which Barack Obama opposed.

Withdrawing to where?
Afghan? North Africa?

Thank you Wordkyle for the facts!

This blog really attracts red neck morons. Reminds me of the last few Republican debates.

Anonymous said...

12:30 In other words Obama has to follow thru on the Bush policies in regards to withdrawing or he will look worse than he already does.

Obammy earning his Nobel Peace Prize one assasination at a time!

So did they ever find thos WMD's, Wordkyle? (I'm sure a HUGE pile of long excuses from him will explain this)

As opposed to the elitist morons the democrat/liberals attract? The only reason we don't see all of the dem idiots is because they are not running against Obama. Wouldn't you hate to see Barney Frank in one of those debates?

“I saw a quote the other day that said that a person used to look at a successful person and say now, what do I have to do to become like that? Whereas now, they might look at him and say, what can I do to get what they’ve got.”

I saw this quote of a quote in an article the other day, upon reading I thought how perfectly that describes the difference between cons and libs.

1:42 (from 12:30)

There is no way he could look worse than he does now.

He would be in better shape if he had followed Bush policies. Yes.

Didn't mention (since I was talking about Obama's campaign promises) his total bungling of the Libya situation. (Imagine when the hundreds of missing shoulder fired missals start bringing down passenger jets) Thank you NATO.

I could go on. The loss of the government's AAA bond rating, $4 trillion in new government debt since he took office, the "fast and furious" scandal in Mexico and don't forget Obamacare.

208 - Nope. They (99.9% of the world) were wrong about that. That topic's been beat to death in this forum the last several years. You can go back and read those discussions, if you'd like to catch up.

Long excuses?

Is that similar to sweeping proven criminal activities and taxpayer money under the rug like the Dems and Libs in office do now?

Anonymous said...

Head Nigger working hard for that re-election now. All you fools that voted for him last time y'all already heard this last election.

re: Wordkyle 1:10 p.m. post

I'd really like to know how many libs read that here and went "aww, crap!" If you read his link to the FACTS, it just has to make you sick, huh libs? lol

More like the timetable made necessary by Bush's incompetence in abandoning Afghanistan for a phony war in Iraq, and then screwing that up.

War lost - terrorists have won. Just look at the perpetual orange terror alert, government taking naked xrays of us at the airport, "homeland security" and "TSA" - what fing joke, false alarm after false alarm about suspicious folks in the news, PATRIOT Act, going through metal detectors a gd baseball game, etc. etc. etc.

Keep tying those yellow ribbons around those trees folks if it makes you feel better.

Are we out of Afghan yet?

Anonymous said...

Or just quit everything and wait for the next 911.

Anonymous said...

Wordy and others who keep saying that 99.9% thought Iraq had nukes or a nuke program are just wrong. The US and other intelligence agencies could find NO evidence of nukes. Remember we had piles of photographic evidence - of nothing. The few goofy reports of nuke activity were NOT confirmed - they were classified as F-6 (check out what that means in intelligence lingo). Just repeating false statements does not make it true.

Anonymous said...

. . . and who decided to send a surge of troops to Afghanistan in 2009??

wordkyle said...

1055 - Why did you substitute the word "nukes" for "WMD"?

From Wikipedia: "To "attack a straw man" is to create the illusion of having refuted a proposition by replacing it with a superficially similar yet unequivalent proposition (the "straw man"), and refuting it, without ever having actually refuted the original position"

Anonymous said...

From now on, we're just gonna assassinate individuals (US citizens included), no need for troops.

Out of Iraq, Osama killed, Qaddafi dead-- after the previous administrations failures-- isn't it nice to have some success! Thanks for your leadership, President Obama!!!

Cute, except for at least two things: one- the draw down to zero was put in place by Bush AND if US troops were to continue to be immune from Iraqi civil prosecution- President Obama would have kept a larger presence there.
