LaMarque is quite a story. The school is so bad that it will be shut down in two years and consolidated with Texas City. If you saw them play in Jerry's dome last year in the playoffs, you would know why. All that school does is play football.

Thought afro turf was supposed to make Decatur win. They seem to be doing fine without it.
Lets lay off more teachers so we can get them afro turf now since they are the WIN! (since football is the most important thing around these parts).

My grandson plays on the Decatur jv team. I went to the game last Thursday in Gainsville. Gainsvlle has a brand new stadium, bleachers are great, the track around the field could rank with any college, the artifical turf field was top notch. Decatur won 27 to 6.....so much for the great home field.
we get afro turf. not everything has do with race. did i see Alabama paying on grass. yes i did. most of the boys like the grass more than field turf.

1:07 - Yes, the Booster Club paid for it, not the district. The Booster Club can do that. Look at it this way, it saved the district money because they didn't have to pay for gas to go to a far away game.
