Don't even get me started on this topic. If this was a male teacher, do you think he would be getting off with the same conditions? I have seen many 16 and 17 year old girls and boys that look and act every bit of 20. And their parents treat them like they are ever bit of 20. So, if the parents aren't treating them as minors, why do education establishments have to?
It is more easy these days than ever for the students to persue the teachers. A coach will give out his phone number to his team. Then the high school girls will look at the boy's phones. Also, facebook and IM make is so much easier for highschool students to no longer be a minor.
When I was in highschool there were some teachers that we thought were amazing and hot. But we did not want to see them after school or out and about. Much less have their number to call them. Because we knew better and knew that we were minors and they were an authority figure over us.
But I myself as a parent, If I allow my child to party with my adult friends and treat them as if they were one of us. How could I really expect them to be seen as a minor? Or much less other adults too?
Aren't the lawyers currently tring to preserve their right to have sex with their clients?
What's the difference. Both are cases of abuse of power.

Why does a marriage license make it OK to have sex with an underage person? Seems underage is underage, period. Yet, two guys, both 21, can each have sex with an underage girl, but the one who's got a license is fine and dandy, an upstanding young person, etc....while the one without a license goes to jail and is an RSO for the rest of his life. And the ages and acts can be exactly the same.

I believe that the punishment should be the same for both male and female. If they do the crime they must do the time!!! I am sure these are just adults that love to pick up on a student who has low self esteem and just prey on them and take advantage of them. I know when child sex offenders go to prison and they are male there is hell to pay!!!!! whatever happened to that coach/teacher in Bridgeport that did this?? i heard he was still out and running around free, hope this isn't true!!!
