How many wins do we need to get turf at Eagle stadum?

Barry, could you start posting the game scores from Darren Partridge and Chase Chapman's football team. They are the true face of wise county football. Dallas enshrined the man with a funny hat as their football god. Maybe Decatur can honor the man with flip flops, sunglasses and a high school state championship ring. I feel sorry for the real coaches of DISD who have to straighten all those bad football habits out of those poor boys.

Bridgeport is gooooooood! Very gooooood!

9:24, you are sad!

9:51, I am confused. You're talking in circles.

11:57, you're probably right.

Great comeback Eagles - way to go 9-JV Eagles.

You don't need wins, you need 4 votes and you have five. Relax, be patient!

Anonymous said...

Why was the score so bad for such a good team?

Anonymous said...

You will get your turf.
Wait till the season ends n it will be good to gob without a vote.

What we really need is an indoor field

You Don't get Turf that why the people voted NO

They are right....the new supt will have to repay the board for hiring him, so therefore he will put in the turf!

I was surprized to learn the Decatur Superintendent went to school with the soup from Bridgeport. I wonder if that connection helped him get the job. It makes sense that Decatur would be copying Bridgeport.
You know...
Can't beat;em, join'em.

I heard that Decatur Board liked the Bridgeport dude and wanted to go in a similar direction. A bit country and not so focused on academics. Someone to push athletics over the top.

Decatur needs an indoor practice facility. I think we can make it happen for the kids!

Even though it was 50-14, it wasn't that close. One score came off a fake punt deep in Bridgeport territory. A play that if it works the coach looks like a genius and if it doesn't an idiot. The other score was a 71 yard interception return.

This group of receivers are outstanding and Henson has a strong arm. They also have two dangerous runners that can take it to the house on any play.

Unlike some of the previous teams, their defense also seems to be outstanding. All in all this could be a tough year for the opposition.

Well, Decatur voted off the only two on the board that would take the issue to the voters!!! Now, the board doesn't give a rip about what the taxpayers think.

Anonymous said...

Yes, the two supts are connected. No one should try to read anything into that, that it's not. Decatur never has been known to take advice from Bridgeport.

By the way, I think Bridgeport's supt has done a great job, and I have every reason to believe Decatur's will, too.

The key words are DECATUR VOTED OFF. Someone should stop crying because there are two new board members in place, and accept that when an election is held, we must go with the top vote-getters. Thank goodness we live in a time and place where we get to vote.

They do give a rip about the taxpayers dollars!

Give us a sign boys!

Wait you did....

six at $100000 each

Mr. Howard is done with school board. He will likely spend his remaining days focused on his church commitments.

Chico Score?

I don't think Decatur is "STATE BOUND" like they all have posted on t-shirts, writings on cars and buildings, and facebook........Major Jinx....

Really, 9:51? You're going to be critical of guys who volunteer their time to coach kids? If you don't like the way they do the job, give up your own time and coach a team.

For the record, I don't give a rat's rear about ANY level of football, and none of my sons ever played. But I got a belly full of listening to people gripe about the volunteer baseball and basketball coaches-especially when the people grousing were "too busy" to do any of the volunteering...

What no Coach Carter is God comments this week.

Way to go dragons 0-49. But I guess it's a moral victory, right?

Go Eagles!!

Yeah Bridgeport looks like the team to beat in 3A Region I District 7 from what I've seen.

I have no idea how good or bad my old school (Castleberry) will be this season. They made the playoffs last year, but were throttled in their one and only game.

I don't think it's fair that Santa Claus goes to the Bridgeport games. He should know that no one over there is nice.

11:38.....you are an idiot.Coach Carter is doing a great job

Coach Carter is doing a great job.....you cant get any lower that what chico has been the last few years. Coach has brought us discipline ( which we had none) Coach has taught our boys how to work. Its not going to change over night. We know that. But as long as Coach sticks to his guns we will be fine. He impressed me saturday by sitting his best player in the second half becauise the kid couldnt act right. The previous coach would have never done that. Keep it up coach. We are behind you.

LOL...that is Santa!

8:22, you are not quoting correctly. Shame shame!

Anonymous said...

Whew....the fat/thin ratio over in Bull country is looking pretty large!

Anonymous said...

Yep Yep Yep

Its a good thing Chico let coach Hart go. ( That should fix there problem. ) Way to go North!!!!

Anonymous said...

WWDD

Anonymous said...

Coaching in Chico has nothing to do with their problem...

Anonymous said...

Idiocracy.

Congratulations you bunch of morons.

Oh, and passing it on to your children as if it were somehow important; pure genius, idiocratically speaking.

9:51, the real coaches couldn't carry their jock straps......they have only lost one game in three plus years

Glad you like my photo (I shoot from the sidelines) enough to use it - The man standing is Pat Schmidt - great guy. Does a lot for the Bridgeport youth.
