That'll Impact Tourism
It's one thing for drug lords to be killing people in remote parts of Mexico, but when you see "Cancun" in the name, that get's your attention. (This may not be drug related, but no one will care.)

There's no way I would go anywhere in Mexico.

This is why I am for open borders. We need some of that here in the U.S. Hell, let's just do away with all borders and make the world one big happy country.
If this stuff was happening anywhere else in the world, it'd be called civil war. In Mexico, it's business as usual. Now that it's spilling over our borders in various forms, how long will it take for our government to take action? Doesn't the type of violence we're seeing along the border justify action? At least a suspension of border treaties and/or trade agreements?

I have been wondering what Obama is going to do before the November elections in an attempt to save the Democrats from extinction. My guess is that he might declare an emergency and mass American troops on the border. That would give them a jump in popularity and their allies in the news media would tell us how great the Kenyan is for securing our border.
There is a hostage take over in Maryland as I type, is that going to keep people from traveling to Maryland. There are people murdered all over this country of ours every day...
The event in Cancun will not stop Mexico travel from the U.S.A. Count on it!
