I always thought tasers were intended to be used to subdue a suspect who is presenting a danger to the officer or public. I had no idea a cop could use a taser on a suspect just because the cop is too fat and out of shape to catch a 17 year old who is out running him on a baseball field in front of 40,000 baseball fans.
I sincerely hope, every decent member of law enforcement is embarrassed by the fat arsed cop's unacceptable behaviour because as a supporter of law enforcement, I am outraged.
I agree, that could be destined to be an iconic picture.
And I don't have a problem with the officer using the Taser. Yeah, there were half a dozen guys out there chasing him and, presumably, would've ultimately caught him, but why would the 40,000+ fans have to sit through those shenanigans?
Looks like a proper use of non-lethal force to me.
Is tazing ALWAYS non-lethal? (hint: no) And as such, did this warrant even the slightest risk to these (normal) teenagers? Answer: Of course not.
" but why would the 40,000+ fans have to sit through those shenanigans?"----
Duh??-- They (the shenanigans)are probably eually or more entertaining than the game itself, and many of those fans whom you so fastidiously defend would probably not choose to see a teenager tazed for acting a little bit like a teenager.
You should seriously re-think this one with a slightly larger picture in mind
Hey 5:26, go ask Monica Seles about it before you spout off. YOU DON'T KNOW THE GUY IS HARMLESS AT THE TIME IT'S HAPPENING. She was playing tennis in front of several thousand people when someone came running out like this and stuck a knife in her back. She probably would have appreciated someone with a taser, or maybe a pistol.
My gosh you people. You don't know the guy is a teenager when he's running around out there. And what's so innocent about teenagers anyway? Watch the news lately?
Is there any way the average citizen can avoid being the victim of a taser gun? Hmmmm. Is it possible to not be shot, tased, arrested, etc.? I don't know. But these random attacks on innocent civilians by the police are getting old, don't you think? I mean, why single out this guy, right? This poor victim of a horrible taser gun attack by the big mean officer was just minding his own business. I think he might actually have been, yes, DISRESPECTED by the security agents.

Don't taz me bro...unless I'm a 18 year-old idiot looking for attention on national TV, then, all bets are off.
I heard on The Hardline that he called his Dad and asked if it was OK. Dad told him "I don't think it's a good idea."
What do Dad's know anyway?
DONT TAZE ME BRO!!!!!!!!
