The kid was stupid for getting into that situation, but if he were my son, I'd go for the jugular of the school, the frat, and the boys who participated.
Did they not realize what a stupid idea it was to disfigure somebody named AND related to Amon Carter? in Fort Worth?? I know they weren't in FW at the time, but they attend TCU Unless these morons are related to the Basses, they're in big trouble!
Fraternities are for jerks who have to join a club to make friends
Hmmmmmm... Imagine that. Something went horribly wrong when a 19yr old went on an out-of-town, booze binging, ski trip with a pack of fratrats and sorostitutes. Perhaps, some of the blame lies with the parents who allowed/paid for their booze hound of a little darling, Amon Carter IV, to go out-of-town. Much of the blame goes to Amon Carter IV who CONSENTED to being branded by his drunk buddies.
Did Carter IV actually expect a bunch of drunkards to produce a professional/perfect branding?
What a git. He is lucky all he got was a burned arse.
Hell Sissiy Boy, put some neosporun on that and get your red ass back to work, oh wait, he probably doesn't have to work and will probably never have to work. In that case go have a beer and try to get over it. Pictures funny, Dad looks mad as hell and the kid is smiling. How bad is it? Jeez!!!
JD You should sue your school for not teaching you how to spell (six months ago, I couldn't spell alcoholic - now I are one! ba-dum-bump - and still can't spell it)...and for using the word "chums". Chums?! Next thing ya know, you'll be using words like "git" and "arse". Did you go to school with mzchef?
Around these parts, "git" is used as a verb, not a noun
You probably never joined a fraternity because you were a dorm rat or lived with mommy and daddy and no one wanted your sorry ass in their organization.
To anonymous 12:08... The best you can do is bust someone's chops for the "style" of their comment? You need to step up your game if you want to play the Hater Game on The Blog.
Had you been paying attention, you would of realized the WFAA article used the term "chums" to describe the fraternity pals of Carter IV.
Next time you attempt to throw down some hate, try not to be such a wanker.
If the family wants to know who is responsible, they can look in the mirror and at their little prince. This was not a school or frat sanctioned event; it was a personal ski trip. It was a bad thing to do, no doubt, but perhaps he will be a better judge of his friends in the future.
This also begs a question: Has Chance participated in these brandings before? If so, maybe someone should consider going after the Carter family. Bet they would retreat to the "boys will be boys" mantra then.
mz that's not hate I'm throwing down - it's just a mild case of humor...oops, make that humour. And if WFAA and all its chums decided to jump off a cliff, would you be obliged to follow their lead?
Throwing down hate whilst being a wanker would just throw off my concentration, so I avoid performing those two endeavours simultaneously
You people are missing the point. This kid is loving this shit. He will wear those burns proudly for the rest of his life. He's a male species, what more needs to be said?
I am giving "Chance" the benefit of the doubt and hoping that his idiot grin is from the pain killers they gave him. As for being accountable, who rented the house for these kids, who let their kids go, and who bought the booze? It reminds me of the Natalie Holloway story. High School Senior Trip Out Of The Country Unsupervised At Nightclub.
To anonymous 3:20... Say out loud the contraction "would've" and you will see how I screwed up, in my attempt, to not use the contraction and miss typed "would of" rather than "would have" while tapping out, on a BlackBerry, my comment on a blog.
If a single grammar error makes for "trailer trash English" then you are spot on and my English is "trailer trash." However, I doubt Harvard will require me to return my law degree. *******************************
To anonymous 6:51... Seems as though you were fed some bad information. My Mr. has been called a lot of things but Steve is not one of them. Take another stab at guessing my husband's name.
To anonymous 8:23... My thoughts, exactly. When are parents going to learn that it is NEVER a good idea to allow 17-19 year-olds to go out of town, unsupervised, especially if alcohol is going to be part of the equation?
F him and his parents for thinking we all give a crap about their son being an idiot. And oh and by the way, I don't give a damn about who your granddaddy was...............

oh paleeeeeesssssee.
Little idiot got tanked up and consented. Mommy and daddy find out, get pissed and sue.
Can I sue the school I attended because all my chums talked me into drinking and now I am an alcholic?
Chico school locked down cause of another bully
"Amon Carter IV, a sophomore who goes by the name of "Chance," told News 8 he consented to be branded on his buttock...."
Case closed. Too bad the kid wasn't smart enough to go over all scenerios in his head of what could happen if I do this.
Hmmmmmm...

typo repair kit
binging = bingeing
What's going on in the news studio at the beginning of this clip?

Maybe Adam Jones can transfer to TCU and the two can be BFF.

Well, the pleased look on the kids face pretty well says it all.
Oh well, another chunk of change for a lawyer.
That boy needs his arse whipped. So does daddy.
And maybe a few lawyers.
Proof that money really CAN'T buy you anything...including a brain.
I've never heard git used as a noun either. It's British slang. Hmmm.
Git around here is a verb form of get.
MZ @1:02----
You purport to be really intelligent and educated. Even cultured.
So how do you explain this quote from your comment?
"you would of realized"
That's straight up trailer trash English. Hmmm? Try this:
"You would have realized"
You're welcome
Interesting that they have not mentioned the name of his fraternity. There are several at TCU.
I like how they want to "hold someone accountable." They don't have to look far. That "someone" has sore hiney that looks to be leaking pus.
MZ claims to be a lot of things but all she really is is steves wife
Well, let's give him the money he needs to have skin graphs on his buttocks. He'll enjoy those. Frats/Soroho's and DRUNK all are synonymous. Pathetic.

I don't think I would have told that one.I would be embarassed to be his parent.
He looks like he has rug burns on his knees if you know what i mean
Personal responsibility. Do they have a course on that at TCU? Maybe being a Carter means not have to bother with that stuff.
