In case you missed it, the
Messenger has
published the mugshots of those arrested this morning for the (always vague) charge of "Organized Criminal Activity." And do you ever wonder why those accused of running some big time methamphetamine lab also appear to be dirt poor?
And I'm not sure I understand the "State Police" jacket that the guy in the photo has on. I know the Texas Rangers and DPS troopers qualify as "state police" but I've never seen a jacket like that.
Anyway, the War On Drugs marches on.

No Bob, I don't think it's an a**. It's a hole in the ground.
My Other Brother Darryl
CBS 11 has the story on their site also.
Barry there's a difference between being dirt poor and just plain filthy. People who are dirt poor can still have clean surroundings.
A bunch of the "State Police" jacketed guys were at Bono's during lunch.....seemed to be well armed too....
Baptist don't like METHodist. It's a Gov't plot or somethin.
After seeing the photos my verdict is guilty as charged.
The Greenwood/Slidell community has had three generations of this family.
David Walker, thanks! Please be sure they don't come back......and could I give you a list of missing things/equipment etc to check?
Most of those folks have already been to prison at least once for the same sorry stuff and they obviously didn't learn their lesson the first time. They are worthless individuals that will be better off with more folks like themselves than at large in society. They made their choices and now they will pay the price for them.
Every West Texas County starting about Decatur claims it is the Meth Capitol of the World. And so it goes.......
State Police can be either DPS, Game Wardens or TABC Agents but those are DPS Narcotics
Clearly the work of the Malone gang.
Use of drugs seems to me to be a personal choice. Manufacture and sales should be controlled - or made illegal. These fine citizens look to be prime candidates for a long term in state housing.
And yet white collar criminals in this county go free.
5:03 I don't think Wise county is considered to be part of West Texas.
I was so disappointed when I viewed those mug shots.
When I hear organized crime, I think Godfather, Al Pacino, fancy cars and Mansions. Darn! Just another doublewide!
One of those guys was employed at the Club in Runaway Bay...shocking....
Geez
Were Drugs or Alcohol involved?
Yes meth moguls seem to be all dirt poor, and the cops all seem to be overweight. Makes me feel safe.
When I go through "poor" neighborhoods, I wonder what would be so difficult about picking up trash, pulling a few weeds and otherwise not just letting your residence be a total pig sty. I suspect it's that attitude that ends up keeping people in poverty, instead of poverty making people keep trash in their yard. Since when does not having money prevent someone from picking up trash?
Hmmm..Now I wonder how the state and local fatties are gonna split all the cash, guns, etc. they steal out of there.
5:03, do counties in West Texas really claim credit for being the top Meth place? I have not noticed it if they do. You'd think there would be a sign, or proclamation, or a "meth" day, or some type of celebration or parade. I think you're full of crap. I doubt any county in Texas would claim such a title.
7:49-----
Your observation is pure genius.
Thank you
I am glad they got those dirt bags locked up. Hopefully they can keep them there.
7:49 is right, I keep myself slightly above the poverty line and my yard somewhat clean.
What happened to innocent until proven guilty? And what exactly is 'organized crime activity'? I know these guys are well known and not for good things....but determining 'guilt by photo' is ridiculous....kindest word I could think of....
I think I have seen a few of those Malone's at Walmart before.
I guess if one of them was employed at the club, Mr. Todd and St. John must have stood up for him to be hired and promised him immunity from evil crime.
I think the guy in the hat and blue gloves is Tom Bishop under cover and he is wondering if Osama might be in there.
typical white trash making meth for more poor white trash....who cares - put them away - they're ugly and stupid~! The Italians spit on these types of people...they don't put up with such...
I'm sorry 5:06, but didn't one of the findings in the "Rainbow Lounge" TABC incident point out that there is no "State Police" in Texas and those jackets are not authorized uniforms for state law enforcement?
I'm happy that "organized crime" is off the mean streets of Wise County, but couldn't they spend some of that grant/seizure money on the correct clothing? In an armed raid you want to make sure everyone is labeled correctly, especially if it's a multi-agency operation.
To R and R...
EXCELLENT COMMENT!
Interesting video of David Walker talking about the arrest on todays update
Most meth labs are created by people who are meth addicts. Since all of their brain cells are in perfect form, they come up with a great idea, "Hey we can make the stuff ourselves and make money selling it." However, they end up using all the meth that they make. So they are still dirt poor.
Why they are living in a filthy environment is a good question.
Usually meth addicts are charged with endless energy. I know that when CPS sees a spotless living environment, they suspect meth use.
My thoughts are with the Malone's mother. How much pain has she endured over the years with these boys and their criminal behavior? At what point did she just have to give up trying to help them lead different lives. People who commit these crimes only consider themselves and not the ones that love them. May she now have some peace in her life.
So well said about Mrs Malone. She is just another mother that children have gone down the wrong road, for David Walker to try and seige her land would be an outrage.
I have worked with both James and Bobby they are 2 of the hardest woking guys I know. They just did a little dope and got out of work and here we are.
I'll agree with 1:29 worked with Bobby myself,at one time he was a hard worker and would give you the shirt off his back.Guess he just went down the wrong road and the dope took over.
To RPM it doesnt matter what the clothing says as long as your Identified as POLICE it doesnt matter what agency you better have your nose in the dirt when the POLICE are executing a search warrant
